What are the differences between a Free Site, TGP, Picture Galleries, and an AVS site

What are the differences between a Free Site, TGP, Picture Galleries, and an AVS site?

Can someone give me a clear definition between the four? They all sound the same to me, but there are obvious differences? TGP is the one that confuses me the most.

This answer won’t just be for me, but for all the other 'newbies' out there.

a freesite is a site that contains a warning page, menu and several galleries. it can also have a link page or other pages.

an avs is similar to a free site but also includes at least 1 tour page, and the menu and galleries are not publically accessible - it is only accessible to avs members.

a gallery is a single page with pics or videos and some advertising.

a tgp (thumbnail gallery post) is a site that lists galleries with pictures on them and an mgp (movie gallery post) is a site that lists galleries with movies on them.

Beacause of this, I find that avs surfers are more likely to buy porn. They have a credit and have used it online to buy porn within the last 12 months, so ratios to your sponsors should be much much better.

to me, a TGP or MGP is like a phone book's yellow pages, that leads me to the different sites in a specific category... like twinks, bears, oral, whatever.

Im not sure where the feeder bit came from. But anyone would need to also try to sell the AVS, as if you dont make sales they may not list you for long, also the AVS commision is worth going for. You may aswell sell the AVS in your tour and sell the sponsor in the members area. Otherwise your missing out.

No, a TGP is a site that links to tgp galleies (like http://www.blboys.com), a freesite is small site with a few galleries and sponsor ads. You then submit that to link lists like Gaydemon.

no, a freesite and a tgp are totally different things.

a tgp is a list and a tgp doesn't have content. it lists galleries - lots of galleries. a tgp is often a single page listing hundreds of galleries. usually the galleries listed are other people's galleries or sponsor fhgs. a tgp also updates its gallery list daily.

a free site includes a warning page (tgps don't), a menu page (tgps don't) and only 2 - 5 of your OWN galleries that are in the theme of the site. freesites don't generally change or update and they do have their own content.

Tony,

If you're making a product to submit to a TGP, you'll be making a one-page gallery. It's a page of thumbnails with some come-on text and a set of recip buttons across the top.

A freesite is a multi-page affair. Essentially you could take four TGP galleries and create a freesite by adding a warning page and a gallery table of contents page (if you will) that leads to the four one-page galleries.
