It has been a long time since I ever did a TGP or anything like it, and in reading some of the threads, well my poor blond head is about to explode.

Like is everyone speaking a foreign language? lol

Am wondering, if maybe you pro's could kind of list some of these terms, and exactly what they mean in simple English for other blonds like me? Something to stick so we can easily translate what you mean by 'prod' 'skim' and all those other fancy terms :bang:

The terms I get asked about most are like you said, skim and prod.

The definition of skim really depends on how low long you have been in the biz. It use to mean what % of you traffic is sent to trades by your trade script. But now it means how much of your traffic is sent to galleries. For example, if you are running a site with a 60% skim, 60 out of every 100 clicks goes to galleries, the other 40 goes to trades.

Not sure exactly when, or why the definition changed. I have a feeling it was started by the script designers. I use atx on all my sites and according to it, "skim" is the amount sent to galleries.

Prod or production refers to the amount of clicks from a surfer. For example, if your site has a overall prod of 300%, that means that on average, each surfer clicks 3 thumbs.

Let me know if you have any other questions. :)

Skim is the percentage chance a surfer has to view a gallery when he clicks on a link in your TGP.

A value of 70 means that 70% of the time when the surfer clicks on a link, he will view the gallery. The other 30% of the time he will be sent to a site in your trades list.
