Well Release Candidate 2 of Wordpress 2.5 is out already, so I guess they are working the bugs out. One of the new features is their new image gallery plugin, or add on.
There is a video sample, showing the new administration dashboard, along with a brief glimpse into the new photo gallery that comes with this version.

From what little there is to see, it does look like things are going to be easier, though I will wait for more details. Bit concerned about plug ins, but we'll see how that compatibility list grows, or not. :bang:
