i've always liked to play with niches. sometimes i'll work with something i know like muscle or uncut cocks. sometimes i'll be browsing content and realize there's a lot of pics or videos in a niche i haven't seen any sites for like girls with freckles or masturbating grandpas or hairy grandmas. in fact, years ago one of my first niche sites happened because i had bought a cd full of mixed pics, but i noticed a lot of the models were wearing socks, so i tried a sock site.
on the other hand, i have known a number of people over the years who start sites based on niches they don't really know that they can't find content for. the advantage here is lack of competition, which can equal good conversions. the catch i see in a lot of these cases is that because the webmaster or his photographer didn't know the niche, the content doesn't quite work for those into the niche.
so how about you? do you stick with what you know, branch out to niches based on available content, or do you try working with something unfamiliar that you'll have to create content for?
