i used to get newsletters from around 20 webmaster programs and resources around once a month each. then some went up to weekly. if they were fhg announcements, i'd pass on reading them because i was now getting between 80 and 100 "newsletters" per month.
now i get several webmaster resource site newsletters every day, and one resource site - that i like, btw - has split that newsletter into separate newsletters via category so i get around 7 daily adult webmaster newsletters. the result is that i don't have time to actually most of them - probably NOT the result they had in mind ;)
i'd say that once a week is my max, and if it doesn't include actual news like a new site or a news article about a court situation, once a month would be enough for me. i don't really want to get 280 webmaster newsletters per month, but i also don't want to miss out on actual webmaster news. imo the people sending these out REALLY need to rein it in :whip:
what do you think - how often is too often for newsletters, and do you want what's called a newsletter to contain actual news of some sort????
