i used to get newsletters from around 20 webmaster programs and resources around once a month each. then some went up to weekly. if they were fhg announcements, i'd pass on reading them because i was now getting between 80 and 100 "newsletters" per month.

now i get several webmaster resource site newsletters every day, and one resource site - that i like, btw - has split that newsletter into separate newsletters via category so i get around 7 daily adult webmaster newsletters. the result is that i don't have time to actually most of them - probably NOT the result they had in mind ;)

i'd say that once a week is my max, and if it doesn't include actual news like a new site or a news article about a court situation, once a month would be enough for me. i don't really want to get 280 webmaster newsletters per month, but i also don't want to miss out on actual webmaster news. imo the people sending these out REALLY need to rein it in :whip:

what do you think - how often is too often for newsletters, and do you want what's called a newsletter to contain actual news of some sort????

Webmaster newsletters? If it is from a sponsor, listing new models that have been updated, once a week suits me fine, gives me a bit of freshness to use in my promotions.

If it is about new FHGs or such, I trash em. Rather have that info listed no more than once per month.

Now if it is about Industry News, like court cases, new technology releases, and not press releases of what company added this rep or that rep to their program, then a daily digest is nice, but sure as hell not 7 times a day :whip:

I like a daily 'roundup' of what has transpired, but frankly many of the big news organizations are nothing but press releases. I want to have the news, like who got busted, what the feds are doing, what laws are in the pipe, that stuff. On that basis, yes daily, otherwise I'll pass.

I find though, that I am reading the Adult Industry News section here (http://www.gaydemon.biz/forumdisplay.php?f=7) more and more, as it gives me enough info to decide if I want to know more.
