How do you handle site review updates?

I know GayDemon and JUB have reviews up for me, but I just never get around to tracking someone down to get an update. I know they are both terribly outdated, and we're all losing some biness. Patti wrote the original one for GayDemon and Michael did the one for JUB, probably 2 years ago.

Is it the promoted site's job, or the review site's job to keep them updated?

I guess this is an appeal for an updated review for those sites, in a round-about way.

I think its the site that is reviewed who bears the responsibility for keeping the review sites appraised of a new look, new features, etc...

I'm not sure who's handling reviews at JUB now that Andy's moved on to other things... good question, and one that I now need to follow up on :)

As someone with a review site section, I'd appreciate it if site owners look at my reviews from time to time and let me know about changes.

I think hub owners are probably busy and chasing down hundreds of site every six months for a refresher is probably a big chore. In many cases sites won't have changed much at all. I'd certainly appreciate a quick note from the site owner saying, "Here's a password, we've made some big changes to the site, you may want to revisit your review."

It's a numbers game. You've got one site, a review site has hundreds of reviews.

there are review sites out there with thousands of sites listed, so sometimes it takes a while for them to get around to doing updates. it's helpful if the site owners keep us up to date, but ultimately the review sites do update most of the reviews.

we've been busy updating all the older gaydemon reviews. if you want to get done sooner, just pm me with a login.

As Basschick said, just ask and we will try and sort it out for you. Currently we are redoing all reviews on gaydemon, done about 80% or so. It takes a huge amount of time and costs a lot. But you are right, its needed.

I think as a review site, you have the responsibility to both site owners and readers to not only be accurate but also make sure to keep the reviews up to date.
