question on web bldg programs

I have been learning VS 2008 but am wondering if anyone elses uses this?
i am working with silver light and web expression and such
there is so much i want to use for my site but alsoam having trouble finding a host that i can put such a site up on now
currently my site is redesigned and under construction i have a simple flash bit up there

I have seen your earlier stuff, this is definitely a huge improvement, though the sudden music on one section surprised the hell out of me, and if that is all flash, it is good stuff.

I'd try to concentrate on what you have, and not keep looking for more, get what you have up, live, and earning, then tinker with a second site or something, to experiment with new stuff while the old makes you a name, and hopefully money.

this is much better organized, but i've had bad luck promoting all-flash sites. perhaps you can find an html editor that comes with some templates - or even buy a template - and go from there. or you could probably get a very simple wordpress or joomla template and work with that.

btw, leather and bdsm is an excellent idea :)

Thankyou for the encouragement and I have taken your advice as well as others the entry into the site will be flash based which is actually gonna be a quick tour of whats inside allowing me maybe in the future to convert to pay site without changing the main entry. if you now click on the pens pictures that will bring you into regular html driven with a dash of flash. No More Music though.....
as i get it built up more when the viewer drills deeper into the site the graphic imagery will also get heavier deeper into the bdsm slave leather lifestyle which i lead.

flash is fun. just keep in mind that all-flash tours do not sell as well as html tours, so expect worse conversions.

understand may change it later but it will do for the moment
you can click on areas within the flash and it will bring you into the site but i do see your point

I have taken your advice and respect your opinions alot.
i have just got layout with no content yet testing each phase out as i go
the flash entry for now is still there but then enters into a html format
my next step will be adding content and my hidden links that will drill deeper into the sites hardcore bdsm and such

This is a big improvement .
I would also sugest not to based your site so much on flash. Because you would be limiting access to some people who don't have it installed in their pcs (limited number btw)

i agree and probably the only time flash will come into play is when the viewer drills deeper into the hardcore parts of the site. and also in my hearing impaired sect of vids where close captioning for vids will be. just something new am trying out

your entire page is flash - 100% of it. so you won't get any search engine traffic 'cause there's no text and you'll get less sales 'cause not everyone can see it - and also 'cause some people just don't like it.

i got that bass as i mentioned the html format is up as just the layout
and ill be adding content very soon now
on the html sections the only flash is the logo bit
i keep testing with the analytics so can check on viability with search engines
the index page will be turned into reg html when i get back to that page
but the rest will be main html with tidbits of flash but more over silver light will be taking over control where flash would be along with ajax and such
but i agree with you flash does nothing for most viewers and search engines but does have some importance as in tidbits here and there
