After one week and several daily sales since day one I can say that I'm really happy with trials. I wonder why people keep telling that trials do not work if you have few content. My site is growing naturally. I add one episode every Thursday so I can have 150 movies after a week.
I have to say that retaining rate is around 89.4% Almost everyone rebilled. I love trials!

Trials work. They really do. Your conversions probably got better as well as there are surfers that really want to try a site before dropping $30.

trials often don't work - usually in the long run. every client i've worked with made more money when they dropped their trials, but your site is exceptional and that may make a difference.
it's really too early to determine how trials will do for you. i'd keep an eye on things for at least 3 months and then do a lot of math before deciding either way. after all, getting twice the memberships sold at $4.95 but converting 1/3 of them can still make you less money than simply selling $24.95 memberships up front. also a lot of webmasters have noted shorter overall rebills from members who start off by buying trials, and you won't know that for a while.

I like trials. As a matter of fact when things started turning down economically I posted about trials on this board (http://www.gaydemon.biz/showthread.php?t=4497&highlight=trial) and queried as to why more people don't have them... now they do.
Simon you have a $4.95 3 day trial... I've toyed around with different trial days and amounts and I can tell you that the most financially rewarding trial amounts/terms are $9.95 3 day trial and $14.95 10 day trial. I offer both simultaneously.
Keep up the good work

i was forced into trials on my porn access aen site $1 ones and i was worried since on your own site it's revshare only but since i treat it like a real paysite and have over 111 quality scenes in the members area plus they get the whole network, i have converted 100% to full membership so far and its been months, i dont get all the longterm inside stats, but they seem to work nice if they dont get ripped of inside :)

In this economy especially, trials work, as long as you are promoting a quality site. Our affiliates that promote our trial tours convert much better then affiliates promoting the non-trials, and the majority of them do re-bill.
