View Full Version : WEG Cash cancelled my account

Not sure why but WEG Cash (http://www.wegcash.com) seems to have terminated / cancelled my Affiliate account with them without any notice or reason.
When I try and login it simple tells me:
"Your account has been terminated."
Anyone have had similiar experiance with them? I did make a couple of sales with them, but not send any big amount of traffic. I only noticed because statsremote could no longer login, which means I've been sending them free traffic which I dont get credit for.
(By the way, they have spyware on their affiliate pages)

Hey Bjorn,
You may want to try contacting Cory ( cory@wegcash.com ). I'm sure he'd get you sorted out. I'll send him a message with a link to this thread.

Weird. I've been promoting them for a couple of years. Nothing huge, just a trickle of traffic, but still. I always found their support to be very helpful. I hope you get this sorted out soon.
Let us know what they say.

Very odd.. I dont even have a bad review for their sites or anything.
I do think people / programs could at least have the curtesy to let an affiliate know why they decided to terminate an account.

I think their a pretty dodgy company. Take a look at their pre checked cross sales for a free tube membership, the surfers get a pretty big hit.

Why are you saying these things about any program without knowing for sure that this is not some mistake that can be worked out with the program?
I dont think its fare to say in a public place that they have been discourteous to you without knowing if this was not some glitch or not.

I never heard of this company... plus I have no idea which sites they run... so go figure

nothing wrong with my account

Its definitly not a glitch.
I tested my login in several ways (including requesting new password etc) and the login is correct, but it now comes up with a big message saying "account terminated". Very clear, big red letters. No mistake there.
They are however still accepting traffic and links are still working. I dont know how long this has gone on for so for all I know I've lost a lot of traffic.
I have emailed them and had no reply except that someone will get back to me from their "compliance" department.
So the answer to why, is I have seen it all before. I have to deal with crap like this on a weekly basis and you get fed up waiting for replies. I've waited in many cases and never gotten any replies. People will take your money and run, thats just the sort of people this business attracts.

It totally floors me, particularly how In This Economy (my mantra of late), *ANY* sponsor can afford to be anything less than very proactive and supportive of affiliates.
I keep hearing all these stories about affiliates emailing sponsors and getting no responses... just unbelievable. I know there are plenty of great sponsors out there who are responsive, but what are these non-responsive companies thinking? Are they just so big, with so much traffic that they don't care? Do they realize the industry is changing and, with attitudes like we're seeing here, *those* sort of companies are going to have a pretty rough time in the future?
THis isn't particuarly a rant about WEG, but about *ALL* the sponsors who are nonresponsive to their affiliates, or who do dodgy things like terminating accounts but keeping the traffic.

True, but in some ways its my own fault. I try and include and list as many gay paysites as possible, so surfers can go and look sites up and find out what they have to offer.
I'm starting to doubt the usefullness and my reasoning, just not sure its worth it anymore. its far more easier to stick to well known sites or sites that use CCBill, Epoch or verotel.
Bad sponsors and the share amount of them, is actually the one big thing that makes me tired of this business and wanting to quit.

Well thats just sad. I get right on any concern that any of my webmasters have when they need anything.
Do you think that these kind of sites work with the idea that you cant and wont check up on them since you have so many sponsors?

i note that the sponsor in question has yet to respond.
that's interesting in and of itself.

There are several examples I can think of were I have dealt with programs or site owners who count on their affiliates not checking up on payments. Some wont send any checks but pretend that they have. Some will send a few and the rest gets "lost" on the way. Others will won't even pretend and just wont reply to any affiliates.
Badbears.com, amateurstraightguys.com, Cartel Cash are some that comes to mind.

WEGcash has been sending me commissions regularly. After Ruth left the company, I did notice poorer customer service to my webmaster inquiries.

Still not heard back from them after a initial "we will get back to you" email.
Outragous that they simply ignore it and can't even give me a reason.
What about the idea that I posted in the thread about new forum ideas? Sounds to me like WEG might make such a list:

If they're going to treat a well known and respected webmaster like Bjorn like this, then what are they doing to lesser known, smaller affiliates?

imo a shitlist is a legal problem - and probably drama - waiting to happen. btw, wegcash has been paying me on time for years, and i'm probably their smallest affiliate. i can't imagine what happened with bjorn, though - i know he's an honest and reliable person.

Well the strange thing is that they would let this kind of "bad press" to fester on a big board like this.
And its about the board owner to boot!!

Was thinking the same thing. Maybe someone should send them a link to this thread

I did actually already send Cory a link to the thread. He said he was going to look into it, but I'm pretty surprised he hasn't taken care of it for you already. WEG is a reputable and well respected company so it is indeed surprising. Bjorn have you tried to contact Cory directly? If you hit me up on PM I'll send you all his contact details.

Slight update.. after chasing them up again they responded with please call our "Service Center". :bang:
I emailed them back saying I prefer correspondance by email, that way I have records of whats been said or not. I again asked them to simply confirm why the account was terminted. Simple enough request.. I'm not asking for anything to be done about it, just a reason.

Why is this so hard for them to tell you??
Or are they just afraid that you will post it and they will look stupid?

This is really unbelievable. They probably had a reason when they made the decision to cancel your account. Is it so hard to remember what the reason was... ?
It's a shame that it takes more than a week to come up with that reason! This is not acceptable, not in this business, not in any other business.
And then they even ask you to call their service center? Not much of a service, is it?
Did someone say they were a respected program? Where do I sign up? rofl

To be honest I dont think they care, and there probably is no real reason and it might have been a mistake but I bet they dont know why it was done in the first place.

This is seriously pissing me off. I didnt notice until now but WEG Cash has simply forwarded me and asked me to call Billing Services, as if I'm a paying subscriber. I just tested the phone number they gave me and it gives me options.. "press 1 to cancel a subscription.." etc..
These idiots cant even get it into their thick heads that they are dealing with an affilaite who's account they terminated.

and best of all... this thread has been alive for a week or more and nobody from WEG Cash has noticed (or gives a shit.) You'd think that having an ongoing thread would warrant *somebody* calling up saying "Oh, sorry, huge error" or some bs. :)

That's bad enough, but when you have been specially notified of it, and not responded, well... that kind of says it all, don't it? :whip:
F*#@ me running. I just discovered I was still sending a trickle of traffic to these jokers. No more of course.
They owe me a whopping $30.60 which I'll surley never see. I do show they paid me once back in 2008.
