last night my cable connection kept going from slow to being unable to find anything. i didn't get almost any work done and it was driving me crazy. one minute it couldn't find yahoo or google - forget topbucks - and then i could post on the board but posts would only go through half the time or less. but every time i'd go to hook up the dsl, suddenly i'd be able to do something on the cable, so i'd think "fuck it".
definitely not a productive evening, and i'm so glad things are back to normal today!

My internet has been down all morning, found out some repair work's going on. (God bless unsecured wireless neighbors!)

glad all is back to normal for you, i know how frustrating that can be!!!
Guess that explains the slowwwwwwwwwwwwwww internet response here today... taking forever to load a page.
Sounds like a widespread problem. I've been up and down all day today. Just came back up after about three straight hours of outage.

Comcast was down for several hours for the 6th time this month. I've only been here for a month. In my old neighborhood, Comcast never, ever went down. AJ, who lives down the street from me, said his Comcast goes down at least once a week and has for over a year. You'd think they'd be able to fix it to make it reliable by now, but no such luck.
I think some of the big operators do the absolute minimum they need to get by, knowing that, for the most part, they have monopolies.

that's dreadful Ms. Basschick... remember those days when we were down in BH and a horrible time connecting to our server? grrrrrr - I'm still pissed about all that wasted time and money, money, money...
we've been swimming along up here
actually, we just learned (on NOVA) a couple of weeks back that the major feeds from all of ASIA come right through here - yes, whizzing bye at lightning speed - and, there are some big motha servers very close (shhh its a secret) feeding some google and apple info to the world - the facilities are awesome and huge
we just moved here cause it was pretty and the real estate is extremely strong...
didn't know nothin about the connections
