Have you got advertising sponsored and paid for by the government in the US?

In the UK we have this paid advertising on Radio and TV by HM Revenue and Customs (Tax man) with the slogan:

"Tax doesnt have to be taxing.."

Which currently they are running every 20min on radio, it never fails to me make choke on my coffee and want to strangle someone (preferably a tax official). :bang:

The irony is of course that tax is extremly taxing and we paid for the fucking ad with our tax money in the first place!

Tax needs to be taxing so the people who have to complete those stupid forms cant possibly understand them. This is Britian, your NOT supposed to find official paperwork easy...

Actually the company I work for did an international ad for doing business in Michigan and it was paid for by the state government. It's a 30 sec spot that I have seen on TV in Russia, Netherlands, and UK. I'm not sure how much business it has brought in but it sure does get people talking when I visit.

I hate the post office ads here in the US. Going to the post office is about as bad as visiting the DMV. Every time I hear an ad about how great the post office is I have the same reaction.

The U.S. government Army ad slogan is: Be All You Can Be!

Yes... they think young men will feel their best opportunity to be the best they can lies in enlisting in the army.... where you follow commands and are always told what to do :bang:
