This caught my eye..
"CockBoys.com is releasing scenes with a model, who stands accused of Murder, claiming that people are innocent until proven guilty, but is that why the scenes are being released? According to an article in xbiz, this gay site filmed this model, and that it was one of the hottest scenes they ever filmed."

Now, Cocky Boys is one of those sites that seems to love Press Releases. They once sent one to Xbiz stating they are updating their site twice weekly and all porn sites should follow. UGH! Not all that newsworthy imho.
Is this just an attempt to get more exposure? Not sure I would want to see a video of someone accused of murder. Even though they are innocent until proven guilty.

Yeah when I first read this I had mixed feelings, but the bottom line is that he is innocent until PROVEN guilty. However, it seems a little low ball for the studio to do this IMHO.

I tend to agree. But after the bloggers write about, how will consumers feel?

I agree. The person hasn't been proven guilty. There are a lot of people who get accused of murder but aren't proven guilty. My best friend's father was accused of killing his wife (my friend's stepmother), and of course everyone wanted to hang him by the balls etc. The burglar who actually killed the woman was picked up by police on something unrelated and spilled his guts. Fessing up to the murder. My friend's father is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. But all it takes is someone to get suspicious (in this case the lazy-assed Metro Toronto PD), and right away the guy is a cold-blooded killer.
The production company that is taking advantage of this person's current status is smart in a way I guess. But what a low-life thing to do. LOL. Personally, I don't know if I'd do it.
As for myself looking at this from the outside - if the guy's hot and puts on a great show, I really don't care what's going on in his personal life. The fact that he's accused of murder doesn't turn me on though. I'm not quite that kinky. lol
If he's found guilty, lock him up. I'm sure he can get plenty of action where he's going. 666
If he's not guilty, perhaps he can make lots of porn and be a big star.:D

it is tasteless to draw attention to it when releasing the video if you ask me - had they released the scene without commenting on it and drawing attention to it themselves then it would have been ok..

Thats exactly the point they made and why they are realeasing it.
Its such a hard question though, they have paid and own the content that features him. I.E. its their property.
Would you not use a website designed by someone for you who is accused of murder? Or any other product..
But yes, its questionable if you should push the content featuring him just because he is accused of murder which they are doing.
How many TV shows are not produced every year about murderers, crime scenes etc.. people want to see it. Are they not doing something similiar?

those 'in the know' will know about this porn star and his current legal problems. they'll buy it just for that reason... that 'll be as close as they ever get to having sex with a murderer(or attempted murderer)
but i do wonder how many people are 'in the know'
it's not like he's mark dalton or anything ;)

Very good point. I wonder how many people actually follow "gay porn news". Yo are right, if he was a bigger star, maybe...or even in the town where he is accused of murder....but yeah, it is not like he is a mainstream movie star or anything.

I guess my point is - when bloggers start writing about it, is it good or bad from the consumers point of view. Could be risky. If I was not in the know, I am not sure if I would join a site with an accused murderer. Some surfers are dumb enough to think that the models on the site have access to all the information that they submit. Assume nothing when it comes to surfers/

I 100% agree. Whether he did or not, there is still a murder victim who probably has a family. Profiting from a murder is always wrong. If they kept quiet about that Id have no issues. He is innocent until convicted by a court or law.

IMO, they actually want bloggers to write about it. It will give them exposure to a huge audience and it wouldn't cost them a dollar.
