So it launches. Then I click the icon and "exit" it. Vista says it stopped working and then reloads the damn thing. I exit it again. Windows says it stopped working and reloads it again. Never ending loop. Do I have a virus or is sidebar in love with my laptop?

Try right clicking the sidebar itself, then 'Close'. I did that, and now it doesn't open at all when i boot up.

Lucky you. I think I did that at one time and clicked the wrong thing. Now I am stuck.

Hmm, I don't remember disabling mine but I must have because I don't see any sidebars now. I have Vista Ultimate 64 and have not had a single significant problem in the 2 weeks I've had it.

Keep your fingers crossed, toes and legs crossed then:D

Im not a great Microsoft or windows fan but to be honest I was forced to update one of my putters last year and all in all im pretty pleased with it.

It came with Vista and and Nortons, the Nortons I got rid of very quick smart and ive only had to do one format so far which was entirly my fault as i plugged the lap top in while it was booting.
