I was just wondering do you work best when sales are good or sales are bad? I have a bad habit of when sales are down I dwell on it and don't get as much done. When my sales are good I'm in a better mood and therefor more productive.

I work harder when sales are bad, but when sales are really really good I work very very hard.

I'm the same. If sales are crap I can't muster up much motivation. If they are good I can really get things done.

I've gone from checking sales daily to checking them weekly. That way I can't be too put off by a bad day, and it's not as if the sales figures are going to affect the workload.

I find myself doing more when sales are down but agree that there is enough to do every week even when sales are up.
My site is small and I don't do this for a sole source of income so my motivation would be different if that was to change.

I have to admit, it's all new to me still. 2 months into this membership venture and I check sales often each day. When I got my antiquated cell phone set up to receive SMS msg's with member signups.. the tether was cut slightly. lol. I'm sure this will wear off, but I use it to motivate me.. and that can't be a bad thing.

I tend to put in more work when sales are down...makes me feel better and then when they go back up I like to pat myself on my back "thinking" that my extra efforts made the difference! :)

I try to work equally when sales are up as when they are down. But I also only measure stats on a month to month basis, doing so more frequently is a waste of time, and that time should be used doing more productive stuff like actual work!

More productive not looking at the daily number, better to save up the time for pouring over weekly and monthly in more detail. Daily can be so distracting. Um. Well. Oh ok, new update! So maybe a peek!

basically, I get hard when sales are up and I work hard when sales are down.
