Manflu?

When I worked at the Call Center (until very recently, I may add!) I spoke with a guy whose last name was Manrot. I always had to bite my tongue to keep from asking him (in a radio announcer voice) "Are you suffering from a bad case of manrot?"

But I didn't think he find it humorous.

So what exactly is manflu?

It's a cold. But men always say its flu instead of a cold. So it's been dubbed manflu.

Women don't get manflu. They get colds. Unless they really do have flu lol

If it's any consolation, I was sick for about two weeks in January. The symptoms themselves last that long though I was actually out of work for only two days. But I did manage to sound like Brenda Vacarro in the process. I even lost my voice for two days. Being on the phones didn't help matters any but my voice was deep and raspy and I thought it was funny how the women on the phone were all flirty. Ewww.

Still, I guess it's better than suffering from manrot! Seriously, that IS the guy's name.

I hope you feel better soon regardless of what you have. Even the common cold can be terrible. Take care of yourself.

I got too close to my bottle of "leather cleaner" too many times and my nose is sore and raw today, so not quite a manflu, but similar.

It's true, in my experience. A headache, sore throat and my husband has to be on bedrest and get homemade soup in bed :p

Me, I just pop in a tylenol and move on with my day.

I've had the flu the last few days.. and what have I done this weekend despite the flu?

I've moved 2 tons of soil.. aerated and done unspeakable things to our lawn.

My dear partner had booked this past weekend (booked machinery) as the time we were supposed to sort out the lawn..

Safe to say, I feel a lot worse and I have grown a certain intense hatred towards our lawn now :grrr:.
