Norton + IE8 + Vista SUCKS!

This laptop came w/ a trial of Norton (which I am trying to uninstall), because gaydemonjr installed IE8 I said wtf, I wanna be as cool as him, combine that with Vista and you get

SECURITY ALERT HELL!!!

I can't surf a bloody link list without security alerts all over the place.

Norton is the worst thing u can have in your pc.
slows everything down. there are much better security systems out there/

L*O*L - curiosity got the better of you, as it did me!

Now I am stuck with IE8, because I sure as hell cannot be bothered re-installing windows.

Here are the 2 programs I use for anti-virus and spyware:

For just about $80 in total you'll get all the protection you need. I have installed both these programs onto laptops using Vista and they run great. F-Prot is not obtrusive at all and runs very quietly in the background. Webroot Spysweeper will let you know about any bad sites right off the hop, but does not pop up in your face every 2 seconds like Norton. God I hate Norton. My heart goes out to you man.

Norton is worse than a virus.
