Firstly Ill state that Ive only just figured out how US elections work so that shows how little I know about US politics.

But I know people here know alot about it all.

So what will a new President mean for the Industry? I assume the new President will appoint new judges (??) so could that mean changes in 2257 with free speech etc? Could McCain being such an old man, mean an anti porn agenda? Would the Democrats be any more favourable to us?

Or would it all be no change?

I am hoping a new President will sort out the US $. I can never figure out if its a strong or weak dollar that I need but $1.50 to the pound made me alot happier than $2!

porn is one of those things that regardless of a persons actual stance, his/her "official" stance is against it. Sorta like drugs and child abuse. Politicians know that if they stand up for porn it's a death sentence for their careers

or gay marriage they could say the line. "I'm pro civil unions and let the states decide" But you would never hear any dem. or rep. say they are pro gay marriage.

While he/she does set a certain tone, who the President doesn't really matter. It's who's in the Senate and Congress, and on the local Level too that really matters.

Change happens one bite at a time. Vote locally.

Portland is on track to elect the first openly gay mayor of a major metropolitan city in US history. He's qualified too!

At least they're saying Portland counts as a major city... Haha

There were two democrats running this year that were openly for gay marriage. Kucinich and Gravel. FYI.

Remember, the democrats were the ones that started things like warning labels on records (Gore) and have pushed Hollywood into ratings system...

Not sure a democrat would be so good for the industry either...

Under Bill Clinton the only person that could inspect 2257 was Janet Reno herself. Imagine having her knock on your door!
