interesting U tube clip, everyone including his girlfriend insists dean is Bi, except himself.
Do you think a straight guy can "act" aroused?
It certainly sells.

I think a lot of bi guys (or straight guys) who do porn are simply in denial. Aaron James on his myspace page said point blank at one point "I'm totally straight because I haven't found the right guy yet." And I think he probably meant it and saw no problem with that statement... denial can be really powerful.
Also, on the MTV thing he was on, where he was telling his sister or somebody that he was doing gay porn, he asked her "would you care if I was gay" and the look in his eyes and the way he said it... it was pretty clearly more than just a flippant comment... he was watching for her reaction.
Arousal, as anybody who has shot porn knows, is totally in the unconscious. That's why models who never have problems in their private lives suddenly can't get it up on the set, because unconsciously they're nervous. So when somebody is aroused around a gay sex situation, there's simply no way that there isn't some genuine attraction there.
Kinsey said in the 1940s that only 10% of the population is totally gay or totally straight. So it totally makes sense that these guys are somewhere on the continuum.

I think we've all met "that guy" who wasn't ready to admit he's anything less than straight. I've lost count how many new guy's I've shot that really got into doing nudes for the rush of it. These are guys I would truly consider straight, but are the type to go cliff-jumping, or rock climbing for the thrill of it too. Hard to believe that they would bone up in an awkward situation in front of a known gay man.. but they do. We usually just don't talk about it. haha
As for the Tyra show, it seems clear to me that most were up there purely for marketing. Hell, I didn't know Dean had his own website til hearing about it on the clip. I wandered over to it myself and saw quite a different scenario. He seemed quite eager to bottom in more than one scene! Also, the girlfriend had said anything he does with guys is not cheating, BUT.. a girl is quite different. Yet, the site shows him with a few different girls in a handful of 3-somes.
I say kudos to them for milking the system and plugging their site. The show was mostly fluff anyway. I doubt they are really going to change anyone's mind at the end of the day.

I have seen way too many videos featuring Eastern European guys 9not from us, of course! Lol.) that have erections but you can tell absolutely they would rather be anywhere else but fucking another guy in the ass.
I didn't used to believe that "gay for pay" performers were really straight but rather just in denial. But I think in many cases they are "gay" only for the cash.

i have enough friends who work in the mainstream media that I think the "strange for change" guy was a plant. as a gay man I will go on the record to say, "I HATE TYRA". She's a cheap ass bitch. Especially when she bought her staff McDonalds for their Christmas party.

I think there truly is such a thing as "gay for pay," just as there are several gay models who have gone "straight for pay." I think that is something that has been forgotten about.
Think about it: There have been many gay porn stars who agreed to fuck women in bisexual movies, just for the money. The most memorable, of course, would be Jack Wrangler, who insists he is gay.
I've had many conversations with gay-for-pay porn stars about this very topic. I believe them when they say they prefer women. But there is something about the thrill of doing something "wild" or "taboo" that turns them on -- just as rock climbing or jumping out of airplanes delivers a similar thrill, and I believe they get turned on by the thrill of it, rather than the gender of the person they are having sex with.
But if we are to believe gay porn stars are still gay even though they do straight or bi videos, then we need to give the same respect to self-identified straight porn stars who appear in gay movies. My opinion is, As long as they are really going "gay" for pay (i.e, sucking dick and getting fucked, a la Wolf Hudson, for instance), who cares how they identify in their personal lives?
I do, however, think that gay men need to examine their ongoing fascination with "straight" guys. I've lusted after straight guys, but it never had anything to do with their sexuality. In most cases, I didn't find out they were straight until after I'd sucked their cocks. Haha. But when gay guys keep saying, "I prefer straight guys," there's something going on there that needs to be looked at. How is that healthy?
We came under a lot of fire recently (and it's still going on if you've seen the blogs) for putting Reese Rideout on the cover of Men and announcing him as Man of the Year. Never mind that it was the readers who voted him Man of the Year, or never mind the fact that if we used exclusively gay models, we'd be out of business within a year. Gay-for-pay performers have been around since the beginning of porn, and it's a phenomenon that's here to say. I've made my peace with it, despite the reservations I've had about it in the past. Once you become a "producer" of sorts, you start to see the other side of it. But it still bothers me that there is such an obsession with "straight" guys and "masculinity" in the gay community. To me, it points to psychological unrest and unhealthy self-esteem in the community. But what are ya gonna do? People will be as people tend to be.
