"TRENTON, N.J. — NR Media Inc. (NRM) has filed a motion to amend its complaint in its lawsuit against Too Much Media (TMM), and to create a “hybrid” class action against the company, two of its directors and other parties.

In the proposed amended complaint filed yesterday in the U.S. District Court in Trenton, NRM stated a wide variety of claims, including violations of New Jersey’s Consumer Fraud Act, negligent misrepresentation, misappropriation/conversion of confidential and proprietary information, breach of contract, violations of the New Jersey Identity Theft Protection Act, trade libel and other causes of action. The complaint names TMM, its owners John Albright and Charles Berrebbi, Fred Schank and 30 “John Does” as defendants. "

i'm pretty sure they're the parent company of the program that was dragged through the mud by John Albright claiming they were shaving. Pretty much ruined them and trashed the owners reputation.

oh? sounds like revenge is indeed sweet, perhaps, but man what a cluster F*** that whole NATS issue was, or is. Sure has died down a bit, and people still extols its virtues

it appears to me from reading the article (admittedly while i was half asleep) that NRM Media is a company that used NATS for their stats.

btw, NATS really is very useful - the info program owners can find in the stats can greatly improve their knowledge of their traffic and sales. but it's a good idea to be very thorough regarding security, which most people weren't.

it seems strange to me that all these programs left the TMM login for NATS once installation was finished. since 1997 - when we got our first script - i've removed the login for every company that installed anything in our server. paranoid? maybe, but i can always create a new login for them if i have to, and that way i knew who wasn't accessing our scripts or server.
