What to link blog entry pic to?

I am in the process of launching a blog network this week and was wondering what everyone thinks you should link the pics in blog entries to?

- A bigger version of the pic?
- The tour page?
- The join page?

The way I do it is in the post text I link directly to the tour, the images are linked to the fhg. That gives you a sort of best of both worlds system. If you link the images to tour there's no reason for anyone to bookmark/subscribe to your feed. Unless of course you're a top notch writer that can create "sticky" text....

Basically that is what I do with one or two exceptions.

I generally link the thumb image to a full sized image, using a wordpress plugin that generates it, blanking out the post. I don't link to the FHG's though, which is a good idea.

Within the post, I always have at least one, if not two links going to the sponsor, plus I will add a banner at the end of the post, linked to the sponsor.

It is a lot more work too, but you know, it is fun :D

I always link to the tour. I stopped using FHGs ages ago.

Now, I am a little partial in that I can see the referring sales from affiliates. Those that link the images to the tour do very well.

Few link to join page. Almost none of our active bloggers uses FHGs in blogs.
