Slow sales and bad mood :(

The last two days sales are really down here and I'm in really bad mood :(

What do you usually do when you're in this situation?

I'm cleaning my wooden floor, and I've just cleaned my rest room! I'm going to have an hydromassage to relax myself a bit :(

Just remember it goes up and down for all of us, and most likly have nothing to do with anything you done or not done. Its very easy to start thinking too much about it and keep thinking its all doom and gloom.

But the fact is it happens to us all, and our work is often so random. So yes, take time off, dont worry and try and think of something else.

Yes, i think you and basschick are both right! To be honest it's not this end of the world.

Yesterday was damn slow and today it seems to be too, but the day isn't ended yet. The "hottest" hours have to come. I just can say that I had a good monday and a really amazing thursday (2nd record day in the last two months). Wednesday was ok. Yes, beeing rational I have nothing to complain about.

I have several indicators that I use to determine what will and what won't be a good sales day and none of them are tied to what other paysites are doing. So often when people post that they are having a terrible day, ours has been good. And when they post that they have 'record sales' ours are below normal.

Each situation is unique. Certainly people are watching exactly how they spend their money. That is why we are working hard to bring more than a 'watch some videos' approach to Manifest Men. I would recommend to that all affiliates look closely at which sponsors are going to make it in the long haul and most importantly which sites retain with the traffic the affiliate produces. I would recommend looking at niche traffic of some kind for any affiliate that is seeing substantial income reduction. To avoid spikes and valleys in an affiliates income, it would be much better to consistently make a good income each month instead of chase the latest highest payout. Niche content has a higher member loyalty and creates a stronger sense of community than any other especially if interactive content is included and produced.

And by 'you' I don't mean you but rather any affiliate that is concerned.

You know, last week when everyone seemed to be complaining that CCBill weren't processing, my sales were strong. Very strong. So much so that I saw sales grow by 6.5% over the previous November which ain't too bad considering I only have one site and the world economy has gone to shit!

This week has been slow and like anyone, it gets me down too, but hey, this biz is so random that like Alex said, my bad times will be someone else's good times and vice versa. So what helps to keep a smile on my face when sales are low? Rebills... all those lovely rebills :)

We diversify so that we don't have all of our eggs in one basket...

member sites, feeds, VOD, our store, dvd production and sales, etc... that way we've got a broad range of products from which to derive income
