Not having a go at them, I personally would as their payments are made by a 3rd party independant of Segpay, but I know that for some people here, they have a bad rep as processing for dodgy sites (not saying thats the case, but it does seem to be the perception).
So would that stop you promoting a site processed by them and paid out by them?

I wouldn’t promote anyone using them knowingly. But then I bet I do since I'm sure someone has them as backup processor something.
But their name has been involved in too many not so nice threads and discussions. Just to many bad associations to be just coincident.

Cheques are too expensive for me to bother cashing (like $60 - $70 per cheque), so I only push programs that payout via epassporte, preferably programs run on their own affiliate system (nats/mpa/etc).

Segpay's so-called third party isn't really third party (or at least wasn't as of a couple years ago.)
Back when they started up, the name(s) of the individuals behind the "third-party" site and the names of the people behind segpay were the same people. They have probably obscured that by now but it was definitely the case at the time.
Add to that the fact that it's run by former Ibill people, processes for a lot of questionable sites that don't qualify for CCBill, and that it's now owned by the people that own NATS and.... you can draw your own conclusions.

Yup. And NATS bought either some or all of the company, depending on what you read. In my mind, the combination of TMM (owners of NATS) and former Ibill people is about the worst possible combination.

I was told (by Segpay when I confronted them on this) that someone was called in to IBill to try to rescue it at the last minute, couldnt (as its was pretty much failed by that point) and that person now works for Segpay. Thats what I was told but I didnt really follow the IBill collapse.

So Segpay is saying that they were there, minding their own business, unconnected with Ibill, and one person at Segpay was asked to try and rescue Ibill?
That's about the biggest crock I ever heard.
I don't remember the details exactly, but the start of Segpay postdated the fall of Ibill, and if I remember correctly, there are (or were) at least two or three Ibill senior executives who went to Segpay. By the accounts at the time, it seemed clear that Segpay was formed by former Ibill people.
I believe the detective work was posted over at GWW and I'm sure if you search Segpay or Ibill it would be pretty easy to pull up the archived messages. I also remember reading that almost as soon as it was exposed that Segpay's so-called third-party payment organization was headed by the same people who owned Segpay, that they covered their tracks almost immediately.

Sorry for the delay of the reply but I would like to try to explain you the reason that pushed my company choosing SegPay as our first biller.
I live in Europe, I live in "euros" and I pay my personal bills in euros. My company has one bank account split into two parts: a sub-account in USD and a sub-account in EUR. With a multi-currency (and geo-targetting) join form both Epoch (my second biller) both SegPay can get money in several currencies. But just SegPay can send money with two wires: one for earned euros and ond for earned usd. Epoch - at moment - can send JUST one wire in usd. Rand was so great to explain me that "multi-currency" wires will be added really soon.

I dont have any reason to dis-trust the current owners of Segpay (Too Much Media). With the free Nats deal, they look pretty attractive to me. Especially as I know others who put them at the top of their cascade, and have better ratios without loosing on chargebacks and refunds. Thats what Ive been told by my friend who swears that Segpay work well for him.
