So in these economic hard times what type of sponsors are selling best for you trial or full priced membership? Logic would say trials would sell better since the buyer is only seeing a $1 to $3 price tag but I wonder if most visitors already know they will get hit with bigger rebills with these type of sites.

Trials sell much better as many surfers do know that if they purchase with CCBill or Epoch or similar billing systems there won't be any problems canceling the trial membership. Membership cancelations usually work pretty well and you won't get hit with high recurrings if you watch out for checked boxes carefully ;)

Does trial kicks ass on a webmaster point of view or on a customer point of view in this economy? I am thinking about trying Trial Memberships in the next few weeks and I just want to be prepared. I've heard good positive things about it.

I offer $4.96 3 days trials. As a result of that 1:112 today and 98% rebilling rate.

trials aren't doing any better for me than lower-cost monthly memberships from $9 to $14.95 a month, and $19.95 isn't doing much worse.
