I've been unable to connect to the Tier1Cash.com (CollegeDudesCash.com) for about 36 hours or more. All of their free hosted galleries are on that server and no longer work. The CollegeDudes247 paysite seems fine though.

Is anyone aware what might be up with them? Hopefully its just a temporary problem...

I tried to contact them on Tuesday. Their rss feeds and email also do not work.

That doesnt load for me. Neither does either of their affiliate program urls. The paysite loads fine, so I assume sales are still being tracked, just not through galleries or rss feeds.

I hope this is a temp issue as they are wonderful sponsor.

Right now I'm able to load the two domains collegedudescash.com and tier1cash.com, but as Jimmy pointed out their RSS feeds are not working and none of the images from the already syndicated posts are displaying. I'm not sure if this is a related problem since those feeds are coming from the domain collegedudes247.com.

They work for me also now. I think "routing" problems can cause this. Thats what I was told but not sure what it is exactly.

The url of the images is graphics.collegedudes247.com/images_featurecovers so it doesnt sound like it.

I have a blog which is only advertising CollegeDudes247, only showing posts syndicated from their RSS Feed. So you can imagine how many times that login box is appearing to visitors on my blog.

I've started editing all the posts, replacing the problem image links with ones that I am hosting on my own server.

I had a similar problem with Tier 1. Here is what I discovered. The "old" Tier 1 affiliate URL is fucked up and I can't access anything. However, they send emails with a link that always works. For instance:

http://www.tier1cash.com/update-collegedudes247.asp

I now just cut and paste from the email.

I've still had no luck. I dont understand why its so difficult to get hold of them. They are putting their own site in danger of loosing sales by not being in contact with affilaites.

The site is great, sells very well. Content is VERY good.. But its really putting me off when you cant contact them even using the details on their affiliate site.

IF you are in contact with them. PLEASE tell them I'm trying to get hold of them. Or even invite them to this forum / thread.

Hi Everyone.

Bjorn kindly brought to our attention the forum post, and ive had a chance to quickly look over the threads. We had a staff meeting recently and discussed what was posted here. It sounds like we can do quite a few things better, and my goal is to do just that.

Im one of the owners of CollegeDudes247 and ive been with it since the start. We have seen alot of growth over the last two years with a very lean operation. Much of the growth is tribute to the efforts of the affiliate community. Affilates are key to our marketing strategy and we have learned alot about how to run a porn business from you. I come not to make excuses though. We need to make some improvements in several areas. Im taking responsibility for and will lead that effort. I will appreciate your feedback along the way.

My background is as an IT consultant for a large technology firm and my expertise is in custom development. CollegeDudes247, Twinkscape and Tier1Cash is all custom coded--I designed the websites and create much of the graphics...just so you know my background is technical. There are two other owners that lead the editorial, casting and production aspects....Aaron Sherman probably being the one many of you have interacted with in the past. In 2009, ill be puting a new focus toward affiliates and am looking forward to that new role.

First is establishing better point of contact. Ill be improving the options for that shortly and you can also reach me directly at webmaster@tier1cash.com. Second, as has been pointed out, quite to our detriment, the technical issues around feeds and domain name resolution. I recently rearchitected the sites to new hosting providers. This didnt go as smoothly as I planned, but I put the emphasis on the customer sites. The feeds I took down, to focus my attention on the customer sites and it sounds like I created some havoc for those of you who depend on feeds for content. I am really sorry about that, for not communicating this in advance and for the troubles that ensued. Ill be working on a better feed mechanism shortly and will appreciate your input on how best to do that for your needs.

I am looking forward to participating on this board. Ive seen many of you here and in other venues, but just read and didnt participate. Im looking forward to hearing more from you in the months ahead.

well, different affiliates need different things. blogs need flash, freesites and galleries need wmvs or other formats. i vote for wmvs (do i get a vote?), but then i create my own flash vids.

Welcome Matthew and thank you for your detailed introduction. I must say that Tier1 is one of my favorites when it comes to the availability of pictures. All pictures are usable.

As for the video format, I would prefer .flv files, but same as Basschick I convert any video format to .flv's
