What's the pretty green light mean beside my name? Does that mean I'm actually on the board at that moment?
It made me feel special.

it seems we see that for all the people currently on the board. the light is out for those who aren't around right now.

Exactly,
Its sort of pale / white or out if the person isnt online
Green if they are online
Red if they are invisible.
Makes it easier to see who is online and not!
But you are still special!! :)

if you allow people to be invisible, the red light sort of outs them and makes them not invisible. if you don't want invisible posters, maybe nicer just to not allow invisible posters...

Just as long as there are no honking horns. Green and Red lights are ok.
