How's your refunds lately?

Hello, I've just noticed that this month (and the month before) my refunds have been 5/6 times more than the months before.

My average used to be 1 refund every 120 sales. The last month i had 1 refund every 20 sales. This months 1 refund every 19 sales. But wait, the month isn't finished yet. I'll wait.

It's weird cause this problem started when the words "bad economy" was in the mouth of everyone.

Did you notice the same problem or it's just a case in basket?

No increase in refunds here....but failed rebills due to declined credit cards have increased from 1/2 per week to 3/4 per day.

I've had higher then average refunds since July, but not by number of people refunding, rather number of months refunded for each person.

In July I had only one customer refund, but he was refunded for 6 months.

In August I had two customers refund, one for one month, the other for 4 months. One refund in September for one month, and two so far this month, one for one month, the other for two months.

Before July I averaged less then one refund per month. Failed rebills are much higher then usual, that's why I offer a temporary $9.95 3 day trial which has increased sales and profit by a great margin.

slightly higher - my combined chargeback, refund and void rate is 0.5% this month.
