about half my spams - recently grown over 4000 per day - are in russian or chinese characters. obviously i don't need 2000+ daily spams that i can't even read.

does anyone know of a way to block or discard emails that aren't in english characters? my host says he doesn't know of one, but there's just got to be something...

Depending on your e-mail filter, you can block e-mails that contain certain character sets. ie. chinese, cyrilic, korean, etc.
Good luck with that.
Even with very aggressive filters and two layers of third party software on our servers, I still get a few hundred spams that find their way through every week.

i'm getting over 14,000 russian and chinese spam per week - i'd be thrilled to get it down to a few hundred!

i tried adding Ж and П to my spam filter but alas - my spam filter didn't recognize it and so it simply blocked nothing :(
