Seems like the .asia domains are being settled or sorted out now. Just had my gaydemon.asia accepted! :)
Anyone else been successfull in registration?

Do you still need to have a business in asia. It was somewhat complicated at first.

I have not branded any of my sites well enough for me to get a .asia.

I didn't know those were available to register. I still don't see any use for my side of the business

Well they sort of were available, if you have a trademark you could register during the sunrise which I did.
I dont think they are open for non trademark holders yet.

I don't see much use for them either. Unless you have a trademark that you want to protect.

I have a real problem with these DOT whatevers...especially those country specific. I bought a bunch of .in's (India) and only google India would index them...so what do you get ....country specific people browsing your site.

I had to buy it becuase ive had such problems with hijacked domains.. they always try and get me to pay an outragous amounts and Asian countries woudl be hard to sue for trademark / copyright.
