Does anyone know if TGPX can be run on several domains with a single database? I know there is a way of having multiple thumbs for each gallery.. but is it actually possible to have one TGPX install to control galleries on several domains?
Is there such a thing as TGP script which can handle several domains with a single database?

Do you have the server edition?

Bjorn,
The server edition can. From JMB's own FAQ -
Can I install the Server Edition on all of the sites on my server?
The software license allows you to install the software on one of your domains. From that one installation you will be able to generate TGP pages for any of the other sites hosted on the same server. The purpose of the Server Edition is to have one control panel, one gallery submission form, and a shared database of galleries that can be used for all of the pages you setup.

Do you mean several sites using the same thumbs from 1 db?

Yes, it can. It is running 16 for me now with 12 more in the hopper. :) It's not as feature rich as smart thumbs but it does the trick ... I like smart thumbs for the features, the stats, but TGPX sure makes life easy with their smarty tag system of creating tgp's.

As the others have mentioned, the Server Edition can easily run TGPs on multiple domains, provided they are on the same physical server.
And for your other question, yes TGPX can also handle multiple thumb sizes for each gallery.

Thanks. Yes I did notice you can have more than one thumb.
BUT can the single database for several domains actually figure out which gallery is on HOLD for what domain? To me it looks like galleries on hold is marked as holding for all domains.
What I would be interested in finding out and to do, is so that you can for example have 3 domains under a single TGPX install, where galleries on hold are different for each. IE so that TGPX knows that this domain I can still use this gallery for, but not for the other 2 since its already been shown for x amount of time.
Does that make sense?

Your question makes sense. I think its beyond the capabilities of TGPX Server, but might be possible if you were building pages using some advanced SQL queries instead of the standard fields.
I will ask Jeremy from JMBSoft and report back here.

Looks like abostonboy has already asked the question in the TGPX forum, hopefully we will get an answer soon.

Yeah. I did. I actually want to know that as well. I don't see how it can be done, but Jeremy always seems to find a way if it can be.

Here is your answer from Jeremy,
"Sorry, the software does not currently have that type of feature. When a gallery is moved to the holding queue, it does not have any record of what domain(s) it was displayed on."
Actually, this is a good suggestion to give him for the next update. Though he is busy on the toplist now.
