Man oh man....tube sites use our stuff with no fear, but the grand daddy of them all YouTube just removed all my G rated previews AGAIN claiming that I was infringing on copyright. This time they said that copyright owner had written them and demanded the content be removed since I was using without permission and had even watermarked the material with a bogus manifestmen watermark.
They will not accept that I am not the one asking them to do this and that I must be an imposter.
Who the hell would pull this kind of shit. This is the third time that the special things I have put up to promote my feeder sites has been removed and the channels canceled.
UGHHHHHH:grrr::grrr::grrr::grrr:

Maybe one of your competitors dropped them a DCMA e-mail. Good way to wipe out the competition.

That just typical. Thieves put what they want and tubes never act, here you have the owner of the work posting and it gets removed.
Cant you show them your model release forms?

And they wont tell you who requested it to be removed?
Unfortunately the bigger they are the harder they are to deal with. I had issues with myspace for months and months. These companies only does what suits them.

The only thing they seem to take seriously is a lawsuit followed by a press release.

It's most definitely your competitors. I made the mistake about posting a youtube promo video on a board that was up for months and doing well. The next day it was removed for a DMCA request.
Competitors in porn seem to get real jealous of YouTube exposure.
Don't give up. Keep promoting yourself on YouTube as it's a great source of free exposure.

I think it's illegal to file a DCMA complaint. Ask for the credentials of the person who filed the claim - say you need them to file a lawsuit against them. The talk of a lawsuit might make them take you a bit more seriously...

I thought it might be a competitor but then I thought maybe I was being paranoid. Now legal will have to be involved and it's a WHOLE BIG THING....why don't people just do what they are supposed to?
Foolish question I know.

If I'm not mistaken your direct competitors are some pretty big heavyweights that have cornered your niche market for decades. While your video content could use improvement your photo content shows a finely tuned style and savvy that must be seen as a threat to anyone in your part of the market.
Hopefully we're wrong and it's some random nut job who happens to know what an DMCA notice is and how to use it, as I'd hate to see a competitor in our community stooping to such lows out of obvious desperation.
There is plenty for all of us to make excellent money in Gay porn without compromising ones integrity in such a way.

If I'm not mistaken, there is a counterclaim provision in DMCA which Youtube is obligated to honor. I think there was a case to this effect specifically involving Youtube.
You might try 650-623-4000 and then press 0. That's Google's corporate switchboard. Then ask for the legal department.

Thanks guys...will do. If we invest what it will take to get to the bottom of this and it turns out to be a competitor, you can damn sure bet you guys will be the first to hear about it.
