Now... is this simply something created with the sole purpose of going viral, or are there actually people out there who somehow find this 'hot'?
I'd say it's for viral marketing, and will probably go crazy through emails and forum posting like you just did.
Other possibility is the Wet and Messy niche.

From what I know of some people though, I do believe there are some that would actually find this appealing sexually. I've seen weirder stuff. Sort of. This IS strange that's for sure.
