gaytube seems to be big, but lots of bad feedback
gayforit is big, but they charge members to see vids. Kinda shady if you ask me.

Tube sites are scary. Sure when they are small animals you can watch what is uploaded fairly easily...but if it achieves critical mass, then you've got your hands full just trying to keep up. Not to mention the potential legal issues over age and copyrights. What about the reality that 2257 is not really dead, just in hibernation right now? How do you deal with that if the secondary producer provision of it is ever made enforceable? I think the parts that scare me most are the issue of age, and the issue of copyrights.

When are we going to start seeing niche specific tube sites, fake or not? Or are we?

user submitted is a joke. Some believe 2257 doesnt apply.... But what all agree on is a CP charge for a 16 year old on a site is viable whether it was user submitted or not!

that's why almost every allegedly user submitted content site is in fact purchased or stolen studio content.

they are between 30 - 120 seconds each. All newer clips are over over 1 minute as that seems to be what everyone wants.

Yes, real tube sites with user uploads are scary, and a real waste of bandwidth too. Thats why more and more tube sites (like pornotube) have changed their format to only allow approved sponsors to upload videos and auto-link those using their affiliate link. Of course there is still a huge issue with 2257, but if you are not American, 2257 does not weigh that heavily.

Yes, absolutely, look at the number of gay sponsors who offer FHG video galleries. There are scripts that rip those gallery videos (some even hotlink to them) and put them on your own tube site. Hosted FLV files offer a better quality video and a more consistent playback, its a new way of doing things and thats why HunkMoney (http://hunkmoney.com) is offering them already :)
