View Full Version : Flying Green
As more companies come inline with save the planet, and go green in their marketing techniques, have you wondered how an airline might comply?

It's a joke. I knew it was too good to be true.

If you couldn’t tell from the humorous-sounding company name, many of the ads for the fictional Derrie-Air in the Philadelphia Inquirer and Philadelphia Daily News included a disclaimer informing readers that they were fakes.

I listened it to the radio two days ago. Too funny, but it could be a great thing. Damn... I'd save tons of money!

With a name like Derrier-Air, I was waiting for the line where all passengers had to sit on toilet seats and contribute methane gas to help fly the plane.
Good site. Although a few airlines are already starting to think about making passengers pay by the pound.

Yes, I realize it's a joke, but on reflection, I can see where pay by the pound might seriously become fact in the future.
Hahha ... on the passing gas Michael! Hadn't thought of that angle! rofl

They were discussing this the other day on The View. When I was channel surfing I stopped by and this topic caught my attention. I missed the first part of the discussion, so I'm not sure if they were quoting a reliable source about the paying per pound possibility.
I'm not sure about this one. It could be a public relations nightmare, and I'm quite sure it would end up in a bunch of discrimination lawsuits.
Cheers

I dont see why this is a bad idea at all. You pay by the pound for everything else you ship by air.

True, but those are inanimate objects... not people with rights and protections.
An no, I'm not heavy. I weigh 155lbs. But I do pack heavy. I look like Paris Hilton going through the airport except my bags aren't Louis Vuitton. lol
