A former housemate of mine grew up very close to Intercourse, PA. He told me of another town nearby called Paradise, PA. Then he showed me once on a map that (at least at that time), there was no possible way to get to Paradise without going through Intercourse. This was apparently something the locals found very amusing.

I should also point out that the town of Fossil Butte, WY (which all my friends pronounced Fossil Butt) was considered by some to be the ideal retirement place for a bunch of tired old queens.
