These are the options I have to choose from. I was wondering in your opinion what you thought the best size to use would be...or the "most standard".

This would be for a free 15 minute "giveaway" video in our Tour area.
If different, what size should the freebie be versus the content inside?

I am thinking of making them the same, so that you can see what is inside.

Thanks.

I can also do custom sizes obviously.

You are giving away a free 15 minute video? Not really sure if I would do that. One of two things will happen.

1. If it's hardcore, they will just jerk off.
2. If it's softcore, they will get bored after about 2 min.

Go 1920 x 1080.

Well, the concept was that in order to get the free video download they had to sign up for the site with a valid email address, etc. and that got them a free basic membership with access to one of the many videos we have, plus fiction stories, some photos, etc. The idea was that they would upgrade to a normal membership after seeing the true quality of the inside of the site.

i wouldn't bother to do it. it's giving away too much. the reason to give away shorter trailers - which works better if they're trailers and not just part of a video - is that each time the surfers have to see the page again, with another chance to join. a 15 minute video would not lead them back to a trailer page or the tour to get more, so you'd have 14 less chances for them to sign up.

btw, trailers imo should be the same size and quality as the videos inside if possible - that way, you are giving the surfers a realistic preview of what to expect.

I will take that into consideration. So I would ask this then:

1. Can you point me to an example site that you think has a great tour area?

Michael, without knowing the niche it's hard to point someone to a site that has a great tour area.

True, but I meant a good tour in general. I see many different kinds on all kinds of sites...and I am not talking content, but more of layout and how they move traffic through the tour.
