I am curious, does anyone use the Wordpress 'pages' to have their galleries listed on, so that there is an easy to find picture section of their blogs?

I mean you may blog about a new model, and show his set or a group of pics in the 'post' but do you also add a 'page' to hold the pics, with advertising of the sponsor on it?

Is that seperate or different from a permalink (page)?

Basically it is a permanent page, outside what Wordpress calls the loop. It doesn't get buried by new posts, and usually is listed on the top of most blogs, next to the 'home & about' links up top.

Like posts, you can have 'sub pages' that fall under a central listing, like you could have one called 'galleries' then add sub pages for Blake Mason, UK Naked Men, etc.

Ah ok, no idea then. But it sounds like a fairly good feature. A bit like a sticky post on a forum then. That coudl be usefull, its really easy posts gets burried quickly on a blog.

I did something simliar before with my editorials but had to do a work around for it so that it always stayed at the top. It made sense to do that since they where different and wanted them seen for a longer time.

Well there is also a few plugins that do a sticky or announcement as well,

If you check my fiction site here (http://gay-fiction.com/reading/), you can see the announcement below the header, above the post. It remains until I turn it off. There really are some good little plugins that do make it fun.
