What is it with affiliate reps new to boards that seem to love to reply to an old thread that is three years old?
I just got done reading through a thread (pages long), only to realize that the damn thing was three years old.
Just need to rant. Don't webmasters know (especially aff reps) that if you want to bring back an old thread that the best way is to make a new thread and post a link to the old one in it.
I dread the day in a few years when someone decided to "revive" this thread.

most affiliate reps know very little about any business, much less this one.
i saw the thread you're ranting about, and what really annoyed me is that he (or is it a she?) bumped the thread without having anything to really contribute considering the age of the thread, which was from 2005.

see thats what i dont get either...
if they are so desperate about getting their sig out there why not make a "would you hit it" thread or something like that, nearly always draws in good views or if they didnt want to do that just offer up some generic advice in some of the threads already active, not really that hard to write something semi usefull in a handfull of threads a day..
bumping old threads is sooo lame.

Are you sure those aren't bots bumping old threads? I've seen threads like this and the person/bot who has bumped it always seems to add a comment that is so generic in nature, it could be a response to almost any thread... "That is really cool!"... or something like that.

No. It was a real person. A rep from an AEN company on one board and a Rep from another AEN company on another board.
It was 1/2 my fault I guess. I spent 15 minutes reading until someone pointed out why are you bumping a three year old thread. I felt like an ass.
