On Cinco de Mayo the Mexican flag was flown over the Kink Armory here in San Francisco. Some nosey person off the street told our security officer that was illegal and we had to take the flags down right away. rofl
The 1st Amendment says otherwise, of course and I think the Mexican flags will be flying here all week.

Cinco de Mayo = 5th of May.
The 5th of May is the Mexican equivalent to the US 4th of July. It is their independence day.

5 de mayo is an excuse to party with a mexican theme. :) (or celebrate mexican heritage or pride)
5 de mayo commemorates an initial victory of Mexican forces over french forces in the mexican state of puebla on may 5, 1862 ( gotta love wikipedia)
