If you were going to hire a worker to do those day to day tasks, what would you have them do? You would have to train them to do it, so I would think it couldn't be overly technical or skilled.

Hi Luke,
I don't own any affiliate programs so I can't speak from that perspective much. However, if it was me, I would like them to have at least some technical skills. Depending on what you would have them doing. If you're dealing with english sites then I would like to have someone with a good grasp of that language. Also, they should have a decent understand of basic scripts and CMS's like WP and of course some others. I mean, if they've never been inside any of those CPanels then that could turn out to be a real nightmare for you.
Anyway....I have no idea what you have in mind so I just gave my 2 cents for whatever that's worth lol Yeah...perhaps about 2 cents.
If you're looking for some help and need someone who learns fast and has all the skills I mentioned up top, you know where to find me:D
Yes I know. I'm shameless aren't I? lol

The reason I brought it up is because I have already hired someone and was wondering what other work I can get her to do. But nice shameless plug - maybe we should chat about what you can do for me :D

Oh I see. It's nice that you're helping her out like that.
I'd be willing to chat with you any time Luke. I'm just about to send you a PM with some contact info. :D

If it was me and i thought that person was doing a good job without any training, then i would definitly extend what she does and invest in her through training or the time it would take.
I would always want to have people who work for me that are smarter and better than me at whatever they are doing, much more than i would have someone who is stupid and only does exacty what they are hired for. And if that can be done through a bit of traning, then thats great!

Bjorn, I totally agree, but what can you or anyone else suggest are good tasks for someone not too technical to do?

Ah sorry, i missunderstood you.
Yes i can.
Data entry. Like updating / changing / entering data into any type of databases you might use.
Research if you ever need that done, like finding a solution to a problem for example "what syndication software exists".. all they need it google.
Testing your sites, testing functions on sites.. usability etc
Emailing, you can create standard emails for whatever it might be and the person goes out and finds contact to email / contact using your template emails
Blogging for you on your blogs, using sponsor provided content. (if you dont mind using ready made blog text)
Anything really, think about daily thinks you do yourself, specially things you always repeat every single day. If you can think of any, then is very likly those tasks can be done by someone else as well.

training? did somebody say training? - I always enjoy "in the lap training" - its a hand's on approach...
all kidding aside, I've often enjoyed having extra help around to lend a hand when necessary - and of course, I enjoy training them so that they know exactly what I do and how I do it
and if for some reason, they're some "down" time when there's really nothing "pressing", I encourage them to update files, or do whatever mindless tasks are piling up and waiting to get done
and yes I agree, the person(s) should always have skills that I/we don't have - that's essential
one of the great tasks we have looming over us is dealing with our vast archive or videos and photos - even though everything is organized and labeled nicely, it would be great for someone to go through the content again and start organizing copies of files for specific niches eg: facials, felching, leather, role play, etc... - and anther task that needs to be done again is an update of our personal archives of our careers as porn stars, events, posters, photos, etc and again for our professional careers as producers - I guess you could call the person a "personal assistant" but around here, those people aren't paid because they're slaves...
back in my day as an ad man and creative director, I would hire interns all the time - they were always eager to learn and eager to please and good for taking care of all the little needly tasks

Good suggestions! Any more from anyone else?
These would take some training:
1. Batch image packets to drop into fhg templates, on a per site rotation
2. Once a site's fhgs are ready, insert them into the Nats system for affiliates
3. Send out affiliate fhg emails with their code already embedded
4. Rig up a template in Site Organizer that isn't your fhg one to use to submit to tgp sites and drop in the same image packets and do tgp submits on a reg basis, either by hand or by using one of the submitter programs, using your own refer code.
5. As the sumbitted galleries start to accumulate, take 2 and do up a freesite, when you have 5 galleries, create an AVS. List them on your hubs/blogs. Repeat.
