In this business.

For me, it was one incident that happened twice. I ran a link list (bostonboyz.com) and I had a webmaster submit about 50 Mancheck sites. Well, they were all mine! Seriously, he took my hub and then just copied the damn sites and changed the link codes to his.

It gets better. A few months later someone submitted some UGAS sites. Guess what? They were mine as well. The same webmaster ripped my sites yet again!

To say the least, he pissed me off and we had a "little" war that went on for the next year or so....

No really one thing, just a collection of little things that have made their way under the skin, that I have since managed to eradicate, thanks to this board.

Certain people in the biz used to piss me off the most.Being underhanded, expecting too much work for too little money, etc. that's why I keep my friends/contacts to a select few now.

Speaking generally my pets hates are: those people who give you a load of hype about their big plans, none of which happen. There are lots around like that but fortunately I can usually spot bullshit a mile off. I can't understand when they do it repeatedly because it totally destroys any credibility, but they don't seem to realise that and keep coming back with stuff and in the end you just think 'yeah right'.

People who are unreliable, don't deliver as promised and are disorganised and waste your time as a result of that. Basically they don't realise your time has value. Lack of professionalism, such as drinking when it's suppose to be a business meeting, because they think that behaviour is somehow acceptable in the adult industry when it wouldn't be in a mainstream business setting. Always wary of anyone who seems to consume lots of alcohol. It's a bad sign.

I MIGHT add now this ebay seller with a "car" problem who is unable to deliver something that I bought for Mom's day.

Well we all have the occasional disasterous week when everything goes wrong. But some people never deliver as promised.

I really hate working with disorganized people. In the past I used to be disorganized to but after I tried it on my skin I gave up. Everything is scheduled to avoid the problem that DirtyRatStudios said. Giving a deadline is not an insult, it's a way to organize and optimize my time.

The way we kill off business models.

Someone has a good idea and word gets out that it's making money; then a few people jump on the bandwagon; then a bajillion more webmasters jump on the bandwagon, except this last hoard produces bad quality stuff, takes short cuts, lies to the surfers, practices black hat SEO, and runs any number of scams giving the whole business model a bad name until the surfers lose complete confidence and move on.

We're seeing it now with review sites. Everyone has one and so many "reviews" are nothing more than glorified descriptions.

I hate print magazine people who try to get us to do an interview with their magazines and haven't done their homework - they don't have a clue as to who we are or how long we've been in the business or even (worse yet in the case of Unzipped) what we do... and it kills me when they don't know our stand on issues or our fights with their editors and publishers in the past because they have turned down our advertising dollars that they NOW want... sorry, way too late on that one guys...

what a continual waste of time

and for the record (again) - WE DON'T DO INTERVIEWS!

... so - Anthony - that's off the record? lol

The way we kill off business models.

Dziner, that's one of my Top 10. Another is how we seem to constantly invent business models which deserve killing...

But, overall, the thing that gets my goat the most is how many paysites start off great and then spiral downhill.

I'll use Latino-Caliente as an example.

Back in 2004, this was a hot, hot site that sold great. Brasilian beach boys.

Gradually the quality of the models slipped, which they combatted with larger photos. Seriously.

Then, I don't know what happened, but the place went all of 2007 without an update, the last few months with a "500" server error accessing the member area. Seriously.

They've posted a few updates this year, but it seems to have stopped again.

Your use of javascript DRIVES ME BANANAS!

I admit I'm an addict, but I'm weening down. Haven't used [much] java for the last 6 months...

No, really! I'm clean! lol

It's been abused and used to do nasty things to surfers.

But I remember the good old days, when you could make a whole site with a single html page and a single script.

The good old days are long gone. That's another thing that pisses me off!
