i'm basschick and i've been working in online adult since 1996. my affiliate program is muscle bucks (http://www.musclebucks), and the site it promotes is man of muscle, which i shoot all the videos for.

in addition, i do copywriting, paysite consulting and video encoding for clients and work on my own various projects including some avs sites and a review site.

i play the bass and live in l.a. where we have periodic gay webmaster lunches that really rock!

Basschick, we used to hand code the emails b4 and we would include the blog iframes, flash galleries, zip files, etc. Basically whatever was new. Now we started automating the process for our video and photo galleries and are stilling working on adding the iframes, zip files into the automated email process.

At the same time we recieved more neg feedback from the FLV stuff, particularly the Flash galleries not working with tgp systems etc so we started puitting more effort into the photo, wmv and mpg galleries

abostonboy, you work too much, everytime we speak your working on a million projects... I don't see a vacation in your future regardless of who pays for the flight ;)

i hope they avoid using the old, overexposed ounique content that the other VOD sites use. you'd think with all the fresher, less dated content over at ounique and other sites that people would stop recycling the overexposed content...

I am not familiar with the studio side yet. They said some of the bigger gay studios wouldn't even talk to them. I'm hoping to change all that. I have been working with adult sites since 1996 when I started a "personal" site featuring images of my boyfriend and myself. Recurring and not recurring one month payment imho can't have the same price. Usually non recurring have higher prices for the affiliate and paysite owner benefit.

Bjorn has been given a password and has e-mailed me with some preliminary feedback. I’m patiently awaiting more detailed information from him.

My site does not have a lot of content and is very simple so I have kept the price low to be competitive with similar (quantity/quality) sites that I visited when I started. You are right, most members sign up only for 1 month. Only 20% are recurring members and less than 10% are 3 month recurring.
