Hello:

My name is Ben. I live in Fort Lauderdale with my partner of 12 years, our 3 pugs and 2 cats. I'll be 46 this coming Tuesday and for the first time in my life, I feel as if I'm doing what I'm supposed to be doing. Reconnecting with, rediscovering, and awakening myself after several decades of merely surviving. I'm not making any money yet but I'm learning a lot about porn and how it's really not about sex. Well, most times it is, but sometimes it's not.

I work as a Customer Service Representative for a company that sells theatre subscriptions to people across the country.

I've been a graphic designer, massage therapist, sometime escort and now I'm an amateur pornographer.

I am also a writer. Started writing porn years ago and have now self-published a collection of short erotic stories through lulu.com. I'm also writing reviews for gay porn sites through bonerguide.com and was referred to gaydemon.biz by John who is like the coolest guy ever, though we've never met.

Ok I will post a short introduction of myself here now ;)

I'm 25 years old, I'm straight and live in middle europe. I still go to university and probaby spend more time working on my sites than sitting in lectures atm. I had some straight adult sites (mainly TGP's and lots of galleries for submissions) from late 1998 till 1999 ( I know I was quite young :D ) and those days were quite nice. Britney Spears and Pam Anderson were making us good money in non-nude galleries and a TGP having 10k uniques per day was already quite nice :)
I left the adult biz after a server desaster which cost me almost all partner accounts those days which was a bad decision as I found out later...

Whatever, together with my business partner I started again with a bunch of TGP's in october last year and we're only doing gay sites now (and we started our first 5 tranny TGP's some weeks ago...). We're working on new sites all the time and currently I think we have about 20 TGP's in the muscle/hunks/latin niches and about 15 handwritten blogs. Furthermore we're working on some tranny blogs and TGP's, a BO/BA blog network, our first tube sites and an adult board for surfers as some of you may have read within in the last days.

I found this board by accident and I'm happy to be here now, seems to be quite nice with a lot of helpful people :cool:

I hope I can contribute some knowledge,too and I'm happy to help if somebody has questions about TGP stuff.

Welcome to GD (gaydemon). I think you will find a lot of helpful folks here, all you have to do is ask your questions. You might also want to check out the Blog & Blogging Forum (http://www.gaydemon.biz/forumdisplay.php?f=5) for some easy tips, as well as the TGP & Galleries Forum (http://www.gaydemon.biz/forumdisplay.php?f=5) for some good insights into the various ways to push sponsor sites.

Using the 'search' function will give you loads of stuff too, but if you get stuck, just give a shout. Someone will reply.

I'm Ken (aka XXXWriterDude). I've been in the adult biz for many years, starting with the first article I wrote about Chi Chi LaRue's Club Channel 1 video program for IN magazine. After that, I found my way over to Unzipped magazine as a freelancer and went on my first porn set (Massive Studio's Hard Mechanics) to interview Chris Steele. The next thing I know, Gino Colbert refers me to GayVN magazine, which hires me as their associate editor, then lays me off 8 mos. later. Then AVN Online hires me back as its associate editor, and I spend two years there getting to know the Internet side of the business before taking a job at Unzipped Media (formerly Specialty Publications) as the associate editor for Men, Freshmen and Unzipped magazines and as a frequent contributor to the Unzipped blog (http://unzippedblog.net). I've been here for going on two years now, and I love it. Since we were purchased by Regent Media, things have been happening bigtime!

I love working in the adult industry, not only for all the obvious perks (hello, porn stars who want to sleep with me!), but because I truly believe that if you want to educate gay men on how to be better gay men, you start in the bedroom, because that's where we learn the most about ourselves. At least I did anyway.

Outside of porn, I take film classes at Los Angeles City College and am working on several mainstream screenplays. I've shot two short films (one of which was voted Best of Class), and I'm at work on my 2nd book, a gay film guide.

New Webmaster finally developing a site form my ex porn career. I also plan on having new content.

Wanted to make my introductions here, so in case you get any questions from me, I'm a newbie. Have done basic design and Css stuff for a lot of friends but finally wanted to make my own sites. Still looking for some member management, pay options if anyone has some suggestions...?

might i suggest that instead of parking your domain, you put up a page with keyword-laden text relating to the content that will be on your site when it's done? also let them know when to expect the site, maybe even a note for fans and a few small pics.

if there are videos of you on AEBN or another ppv sponsor, you could even suggest to your fans that while you wait they could check out a video there and link to the pages with your videos.
