View Full Version : If you promote PrideBucks, please read...
Almost all of my Pride Bucks sales have been in really small amounts ever since I joined their program more than a year ago. I'm talking about sales of $2, $3 maybe at the most $5 each. I don't think I've ever gotten a sale of more than $5.00. This is the only sponsor where I see this... all the other sponsors I promote get me normal sales.
When I contacted Pride Bucks about this they said that I seem to be getting a lot of customers who sign up for a trial and then cancel, which seems odd to me. Like I said, I don't see this with any other sponsor.
Before I make any drastic changes I wanted to ask other people who promote Pride Bucks if they've seen the same thing with these small sales.

Been promoting them for ages, never had that really. I find it hard at times to make sales, but when they do happen, its the right payout, not $2 or such.
From my own dealings with them, they are 100% above board.

msm - Their answer to you is correct. They are paying you commissions off trial signups, which are under $10. I participate in PrideBucks both as PPS and RevShare, and can corroborate that lots of people sign up for the trials.
If you want to just "take the money and run", sell the memberships at the PPS compansation level.

There's nothing strange going on, I'm quite sure of that. You're getting people signing up for trials.
Why not contact Steve at Pride Bucks, they may be able to rejib your referral codes to exclude the trial option. Otherwise, just take the PPS option.

I find this hard to believe. We've had an affiliate account with them for 6-7 years. Looking through our account history I see nothing of what your seeing. I would speak to either Steven or Harlan over there. I am sure they will get you straightened out. They are one of the very few programs that actually care about their affilaites... They're emails are:
harlan (at) pridebucks (dot) com
steven (at) pridebucks (dot) com
Good luck :)

Hi everyone! Thank you all very much for the kind words. It means a lot to a company when its affiliates speak well of it. MSM, please contact me at steven (at) pridebucks (dot) com, or via ICQ at 296-582-153 so that I can take a look at your account and we can try to find a solution for you. Thanks!

I've been doing better with Pridebucks again after the new tour overhauls. I've always used the PPS option with them.
I can see people buying lots of trials these days though. It's conducive with the current economic mindset it would seem. I must say though, rebills aren't doing that badly again. At least for me.

We've never done low-priced trials on our sites, only 30 day trials. I don't see that it's affected us any. However, we have nothing to compare it to on our end.
Our rebills are doing great. We have only occured 4 cancellations since January out of maybe 800 signups. But we also update a shit load a week / month.

Do you mean 796 people signed up (for a recurring membership) and did not cancel their membership?

That is correct. We have 4 different kind of video feeds, live cams, we update with 2 videos every three days. We update with 2 new image sets every 3 days. So there are updates daily. The key to keeping members is updating. We also keep a close eye on the server and statistics to see what the consumers are doing. If it slows down, we update with something extra. It's all about evaluating. But we also have 1 guy that focuses entirely on our members activities and updating.

That's very hard to believe. Most sites aren't making as many recurring sales as they used to (just look around the board here at many of the latest sales posts) to begin with, but you only had 4 cancellations out of 800?

It's hard to believe for me as well. No program I have promoted in the last 6 years has such a good rebill ratio (not even close actually)

Well.... Between the updates, the monitoring, and giving them loyalty discounts, all three of these go into play.

Many sites update regularly, monitor accordingly and give out discounts but don't rebill like that. Anyway...this is board talk and it seems we've hijacked this thread.

Gee, JJ, I didn't know you had a website 7 years ago, let alone affiliate status.

I am not JJ. I am Jayden. the very first website went up in 2003, Sebastiansloaneproductions.com back then for its first 2 years it was a membership site with bought content. at that time there was a link exchange site, and there was another site with a frat boy niche used with affiliate programs. the affiliate program didnt go out until 2005 when a few more sites went live.

for every 100 members, we have at least a couple with expiring credit cards - usually more than a couple. and a couple declined for non sufficient funds, too.
and some guys cancel before they enter sites, so whether you update or not wouldn't affect things. and that's not just about sites i've owned or been part of - it's happened at sites i worked with, consulted for, friends' sites, straight sites and gay sites.
Thanks everyone for the feedback on my Pride Bucks question, and as I mentioned I did contact them about this and they said I seem to be getting a lot of people who cancel before the trial expires. No idea why though. I guess I'll do a complete overhaul of my PB links and do the PPS option. If I had done that from the start I could have bought that new big screen TV I've wanted by now!

This is not just hard to believe, it's impossible.
