Hey There, did you ever get the 2.5 media library to work for you? If not, this plugin supposedly replaces it, and adds one that is supposedly xhtml compliant,

That might solve your problem, as it appears their are lots of bugs in the WP media library/upload portion.
Anyone else having similar problems, or simply don't like the media upload/library in 2.5, this might help. It adds the lightbox features as well. :cool:

Hey thanks Lloyd!! I was looking for somethng like that exactly. I'll install it and see what happens. Should work ok by the sounds of it. I'm sure it will be MUCH better than putting images in manually. LOL.

I'm not able to upload images right from my desktop with the 2.5 version of WP for some reason. I've reinstalled several times and the Naked Hosting techs haven't figured it out. So GSM found this plugin and thought perhaps it would help. Unfortunately....it didn't.
But thanks still for the thoughtfulness GSM!

I appreciate the link rawTOP but that didn't work for me either. My WP root directories don't even contain any .htaccess files. LOL. So I created them and.....notta. Zip. Oh well. Manual will have to do I guess.
Can't the simple upload plugin be used for 2.5? I've looked and I can't find one that's compatible. Man this is frustrating.

Check with your web host to make sure they have permissioned you to use .htaccess files (unless you use them elsewhere and know they do work)...
