They quoted my site 'Bathhouse Blues' on Bathhouse Etiquette
Bathhouses, on the other hand, are described by one 30-something veteran as being like 24-hour sexual convenience stores.
"If you are looking for a long bonding experience with someone, you have come to the wrong place," this guy writes in the etiquette section of a blog called Bathhouse Blues. "It is acceptable in a bathhouse environment for a guy to get up and leave within 30 seconds of reaching ejaculation. Many times before and after sex no pleasantries are even exchanged. It just wastes time for the reasons both of you are there so why waste time by talking?"

It still astounds me that no one else seems to want to write their own Bathhouse Blog. That after almost nine years of writing about this stuff, no one else has started their own rival bathhouse blog. Huh?

Congrats! That should give you a boost in traffic for sure.

I guess everyone reads your posts about having a hard time to convert your traffic.

i can't even begin to imagine why you don't make a bathhouse avs site to promote from your blog. it's almost ridiculously easy. failing that, either promote a hookup site or approach bathhouses and see if they'll pay a little to advertise their sites on your site. you do seem to get a lot of very specific traffic.

Because I would just be giving away traffic. When most people visit a hookup site, they sign-up for FREE. Very rarely will someone pay to purchase extras. And even if they do, by the time that happens my cookies will expire after 7 days.

I've approached MANY Bathhouses all over the world to exchange links, and either they have ignored my emails or they do not like site at all. So if they don't even want to exchange traffic, I doubt very much they would be willing to cough up money to advertise on my site.
Congrats on the free press!
and good press at that
I added a bath house section on one of my blogs. They don't link back and I haven't asked them to but, I get hits from search engines and those visitors click links to porn site tours with my codes.
That's great they mentioned "Bathhouse Blues". Now, if only they would have linked it...

Have you at least tried? I do believe there are some hookup sites that pay for each free sign up. Even a small amount of revenue is better than not making any sales, ever. Also, long cookie expiration dates aren't really ultra important (see many other threads regarding cookies).

they sign up for free, but when they want to send messages back and forth, they upgrade. and that's when you make money. i made money with hookup sites, but it took a bit of experimenting to find out which ones made sales for me and which didn't.

Do you still have hookup sites? If not, what made you stop?

we took down all our sexually explicit sites and pages in 2005 - 191,000 pages total. for a while, i had some sites with non explicit content where we still used personals sites, but we did better with paysites so sometime in 2008 we stopped promoting personals. still, he has no good sponsors for bathhouse, so it would be worth trying a few hookup sites - sending each one a few thousand hits to see which one converted to actual paid memberships for him.
