View Full Version : Affiliate Programs - This pisses me off

If you own a program, Please read this... I have some complaints. Maybe my complaints may benefit those who work their asses off to promote you. And it may help affiliate programs to gain more affiliates.

I JUST signed up to an affiliate program. After I joined, I'm taken to a page where I MUST edit my payout details. The minimum to receive a check is $1,000.00 (USD) This is obserd!

After I joined, I was like okay. So here I am being clueless and I see this! Of course, after I enter in all the personal information (tax id, mailing address, etc.).

I would sign up to these programs, but my fear is that so many programs are closing doors.
Maleflixxx put us through shit. We earned exactly $99.99 with them. They flagged the account because it wasn't fair for us to only promote them as a VOD. So they basically ran with the money. After bitching for 6 months, we finally got paid.
What if they shut down, close doors, get sued, etc. and I send them traffic to where I'm paid $900! I'm losing that money.

The second complaint I have is - accounts have to be approved. Sunday I signed up to CollegeDudes247. My account still hasn't been approved yet. I've moved on and I will not promote them. If I have to wait.

I joined another site this week, I went in to grab the FHG's. The pictures seemed to be 10MB per image. They were huge! We have a T-1 internet connection... They load so slow! A consumer's going to get tired of waiting while his hard dicks in his hand and jet.

Another affiliate program had half of a dozen broken images in their TGP's. Come on now, don't you look before you publish or take a peek occasionally?

Watermarks across the models dick, ass, face... Come on now, if you want to watermark your images, put them around the edge, not in the middle to where it covers the models dick running across the middle of the image.

Maybe it's just me, I'm not one to bitch about anyone unless I'm really urked. And I am. I hope I haven't hurt anyones feelings or offended them. I feel like I've wasted a lot of time. I could be hauling butt around here sending Traffic to Badpuppy, HunkMoney, and a few dozen others. Instead I'm wasting my time fiddling with stuff to promote.

When I go to an affiliate program, my goal (and I'm sure others too) is to get in, sign up, grab what I need, and get out. And occasionally go back in for more tools.

I see HunkMoney in your list, so I shall chime in by saying:
- our min payout is $50
- yes we do have a pre-signup process, but we always action these within 24 hours, usually within an hour if we are online. This is a MAJOR IMPORTANT step to avoid fraudulent affiliates, it has cut down this type of fraud on our programs by at least 80%!!!!!
- if you find any issues with any of our FHGs please let me know, I create all of these galleries myself and I check every one of them before adding them to the affiliate programs, but if I somehow missed something or if something has gone corrupt I want to know so I can fix it

And if you find any issues or see room for improvement, please tell me directly so I can try to assist.

cheers!
Luke

Justin, it's always a pleasure working with you :)

The thing that really fires me up is the minimum payout. The images, yea well I'll only give them a banner ad. But if your a startup like many are at promoting that program, you could be wasting months to meet $1,000!

And I failed to mention... Their monthly membership is $15.95! And that's inital and Recurring. WTF! Payout is 50%. Do you know how many memberships I would have to sell before I get $1,000! I'm 20yo, I'll be 50 and on my way to an alzheimers unit before I get the money!

Luke, the only bad thing I would ever say about Hunk Money or British Bucks is... Damn, you guys update a lot! GREAT JOB! That's awesome for retention! I can't keep up with you guys! Which is even better because there will always be something new to add that consists of your content.

Im very familiar with CD247. I can tell you CD247 uses the standard CCBILL process for sign up, and is active unless the sponsor takes action. The second step is access to promo materials/tools in the the TIER1CASH website, a manual approval step...usually a quick inspection to be sure its a real site and not someone seeking free content.

Not sure why you have not been given access, perhaps a communication failure or oversight.

I sent you a note asking how I may be of help, not sure what went wrong in this case.

What a good affiliate prog is, well not too complex. I like NATS first off, preferably NATS4. I sign up, I get promo link to your members area so I can Vegas a 30-60sec trailer once a week or more, whenever you update. Not rely on free content that's (no lie) 3-6 years old. If I planned to promote your site via hosted galleries I'd be running TGPs and banner farms. But I see a lot of sites where they don't do this as the members area hasn't been updated in over a year, now why would I even promote that? I've written four affiliates in the past week and gotten no response. The ones that came through?
emoprofits.com
standahead.com
boystorm.com
I don't expect the affiliate to do all the work to make banners (they seldom work) etc. I'll do that, it's my job, their job is to make a site people sign up to and stay signed up to. But without giving me the tools to make my job work...

1k minimum payouts? lol Wow. I don't know too many sponsors that sell that well. I've never even seen a minimum payout that high. $500 a few times, but not 1k.

First, this is my first port on GayDemon.biz. I recognize a lot of you from other boards. We until recently had another employee actively monitoring and posting here. So if I don't already know you, please say hi!

Regarding our approval process:

For better or worse, sometimes CCBill emails don't come through to us on rare occassion when a new affiliate signs up through CCBill. We do manually check our CCBill console to catch these rare cases, and at this point I do not believe we have any affiliates in unapproved status. Any questions about CollegeDudes247 or Tier1Cash can be directed to me at shane@tier1cash.com

Looking foward to working with any of you that I do not already know!

its a best guess based on fraud before and after we changed our signup procedure, actually I think its probably higher than 80%
