"What you're about to hear is a portion of a jaw-dropping speech delivered by an Oklahoma State Representative at a gathering in her district. This is what they say when they think we're not listening."
It's sad to hear all the ignorance coming out of her mouth. And to think the she is a Oklahoma state representative.

This is an email My friend Oscar sent to her.

Verbal Terrorism--We Shall Not Fear!
03-11-08
Dear Mrs. Kern,
I'm fairly sure that your own eyes will never see this e-mail, in fact it could possibly be deleted straight away due to the words in the subject line. It would be my deepest hope, at present, that you do read this. I am not a resident of Oklahoma, and though American, am not currently a resident of the United States. I received an e-mail containing a speech you gave with some of the most atrocious statements I have ever heard from a person in your position. It didn't necessarily make me angry. It saddened me. Maybe it's the fact that though I am not a pristine person, there is an unending sense of hope in me--a blind innocence that prefers to believe that people in positions like your own will attempt to nullify hate. Why do you create more platforms for it?
You have the audacity to say that you are not trying to gay-bash. Then please, what exactly is it that you're trying to achieve? I will be quite honest and say that I felt bashed, battered, wounded, and abandoned by your acidic words of hatred. It is the coal that people like you shovel into steadily burning fires that lead to unnecessary violence. If there is a "gay agenda," I'm sorry to point this out to you--but most homosexuals don't know what it is. We, like any other group, person, or culture in the world, have exceptions; people that do not make us proud and often make us angry within our own community for casting us in a wrongful light. You, in my humble opinion, are one of those exceptions...and the state of Oklahoma doesn't deserve to be represented by someone like you.
How did you feel when you heard about Lawrence King, a 15 year-old-boy from Oxnard, California being shot in the head by a fellow classmate last month because he had expressed feelings for him? Is he to blame? Do you blame his parents, his upbringing, the media? Do you blame satan for inflicting him with such a horrible disease, that his murder was ultimately a heinous inevitability that he'd have to face for "choosing" such a despicable lifestyle? Please, tell me that you, a teacher and educated woman are not that diluted. Please, tell me that a woman who speaks the word of God is not proliferating hate. Do you feel that these terrible occurrences are correct? Do you believe that Matthew Shephard, Brandon Teena, and the countless other faceless names who have been savagely murdered by ignorant demons, with government supported weaponry, were meant to die?
I am so sorry that you feel the way you do. We are all raised in different homes, in different cultures, and situations. Being raised in a loving Christian home, I am continually astounded by the amount of love and support that I receive from my family. Beyond anything, I live happily, and proudly every day knowing that God loves and protects me. I am a decent human being. I am kind. I am a teacher, and I love my students as if they were my own children. I love my boyfriend and would do anything for him (including move to Korea to be with him, which is the case of our relationship). I am an educated young man. Blessings surround my life and I know, from deeper than my heart could fathom, that it is all because of the eternally powerful love of Jehovah God and his son Jesus Christ. They are the all-powerful, the all-mighty...and only they shall judge me. So far, their judgement has come in a basket of blessings.
I do not wish to send you this e-mail sealed with hatred. I felt that I needed my voice to be heard, much as you allowed yours to be. Unfortunately, this e-mail may not go further than the trash...but I will take those odds.
I wish you so much peace, and beauty. I wish you an understanding that has eluded you, even at your mature age. I hope that you never have to experience what young Lawrence King's parents are feeling due to the premature loss of their son.
Simply...I hope.
Respectfully,
Oscar Daniel Lugo

it gave me teary eyes specially the part of Larry,
It's sad to think she could use her "power" as an elected official to actually use it for good things instead of spreading hate to others..

i'm so angry at this kind of people - the ones who miss every important point in the bible yet still claim that they're christians so they can spew their hate yet claim to be "good" people?

That's horrible. I could not believe what she said, how can she be allowed to even be in local government?
She must be so screwed up, i wonder what happened to her in her childhood to make her that fucked up. Religion is probably the answer, that and abuse. There is nothing that darkens a mind more than those two things.
