Don't get all excited, not yet, but was reading one blog by one of the developers or contributors or whatever they call the mucky mucks at Wordpress, and seems there is a few more BUG FIXES that need to be done, so 2.5.2 is coming soon. :bang:
One of the reason given, is that when resetting the password, after you forget your admin one, doesn't always work. :grrr: so you have to go into myphpadmin to set it manually. Oh like that is really inspiring me to change my admin password, which one should do regularly, just in case. Now I think I'll wait till this bug fix comes out

As with most OS's, scripts, CMS's etc etc, yadda yadda, the first few versions are usually pretty buggy. Like my upload option isn't working at all on the All Gay Porn Blog (which is WP 2.5.1) no matter what I do. I've reinstalled WP like 4 times now. Still notta. And Naked Hosting can't figure it out either so it's a bug in the script somewhere. Perhaps it only works for some people. I know of another 2.5.1 user that can't upload either. Oh well, typing in a bit of html never killed anyone as far as I know lol
The bug you're talking about is pretty serious though. What a pain in the rump to have to go into your database to change your admin password. Oh man. Let us know how that goes if you upgrade. Pros/cons etc.
Thanks

Well 2.5.2 isn't out YET, but when it comes I'll do that.
So your wordpress media upload isn't working? Check your file permissions for the upload directory... the chmod might need to be set to 777 to make it writeable by the program. assuming you haven't checked that.
Mine works fine, knock on wood, across the board on all my blogs.
You might want to check the WP Forums too, it might be listed there.

Oh I figured it wasn't out yet. Just putting it out there.
First thing I checked was chmod. No dice.

I can't believe they are already talking about 2.5.2.I am sorry to hear you guys are having problems with 2.5.1.I guess we are all going to have to start waiting a week or so in between these upgrades to make sure there are no bugs reported first. So it will save us from constantly upgrading scripts.
I just finished doing the 2.5 and now I wake up to 2.5.1 ... that should really be illegal to do until after I've had coffee ... sigh. :whip:
I'm starting to get rather miffed about wp...
