I have a totally free summer with thousands of hot college guys around me here in north FL. I've figured out that a lot of them are willing to work for relatively little money. :)

I have some prospects and I'm thinking about making some vids and setting up a little site. I'm just wondering what kind of paperwork I need to gather and what other legal hurdles might exist...

Any help is appreciated :)

are you in the u.s.?

When I used to buy content I asked both ID both driver license where available. but I think that it's worthless there in the USA where people can get driver license at 16yo.

Are you going to sell content/shoot for other people?

Not true - you are really looking at the Date of Birth on the driver's licence.

Yeah, I'm in Florida, and yeah, I'm primarily interested in selling it to someone else.

It'd be useful having your contact somewhere or being able to send you private messages. :)

I'm kind of new at this, so you'll have to excuse me. You can e-mail me at flwebcamboy18 @ aim.com

I was in this business as a cam model for the last 3 years. I made about $50,000 doing that...so with nothing else to do I'm kind of interested in getting back in.

But the camming world is nothing like it was 3 years ago when I started doing that...

The address seems to be not valid. At least what NatNet mailserver said.

Hi guys:

I am newbie here. English is not my primary language, so excuse my grammar errors.
I have a question for AmadMedia or any other one who can provide and honest answer.

I do produce latin gay content. Right now located in Brazil, but traveling a lot to others countries in latinamerica, just like now, when the budget is ok.
Had a client that I produced him several videos with pics. I used to give him all the tapes and pictures with releases and ID once he made the payments. Cause the relationship went fine, I started working on "pay me later" terms. wich was a big mistake.
He published around 150 of my work and not giving me a penny yet. I have this situation since 2007. Though in the long term he will want his material, cause he published them as exclusive, but never did.
Releases are sign under my company name, models sign them, I do sign them as the contractor.
I never signed any document with him regarding buying my copyrights or licensing.
I talked to a lawyer, a friend of a friend, in europe (where the site is establish) and he told me the content is legally mine. Not his. He said he cant claim is his just cause is on his site.
So, I am trying and doing my best to be fair at this situation and not going against him, giving the chance to pay and take what he claim is his.
Also I got advice to sell it, but honestly I dont know how to proceed with this.
I appreciate the help anyone can provide.

hmmm, sounds like you had dealings with Roman Szenkio.
We did a purchase from him December of last year. He sold us videos and images that he had produced for another studio but yet the footage was supposed to be "new" and we would only have rights to.

Nonetheless, we pay other producers for footage to produce us films. Their signatures are on the model releases and 2257 docs. Ours are nowhere on it. However, whenever we pay a producer to produce us footage, we require a bill of sale that states what we purchased, what we receive, the models names on it, everything. And of course model ID's. With that, you are legally fine. If you were to be ever investigated, you would only need to present the following documents:
2257 IDs
Model Index File
2257 Record-Keeping Form where the model inputs his or hers legal information.
The feds or whomever would conduct the investigation could care less about the model release. --UNLESS-- Your being investigated because a model states, "I did not consent to be filmed."

We produce for other producers as well...
We have a contract that says, "You pay us 50% of the costs up front before any work is initiated. Once the work is completed, you pay us the other 50%." If they back out after the 50% down payment, they do not receive their down payment back because the 50% payment only compensates for model payment. The other 50% goes into our manpower, time, location costs, etc.
So I suggest, doing that.

Pay Me Later doesn't always work. That gives the buyer the chance to take the footage and run.

Jayden:

Thanks on your reply.
I see now, I have no choice but just look ahead and forget that thief.

I will follow your advice for future productions.

Take care

Remember, your in business for yourself. You have to put meals on the table. You have to caution yourself. There are a lot of crooks in this industry who are all about themselves and don't care who they hurt for a gain.
Just because you do business with someone doesn't mean they won't hurt you later. So just always watch your back.
Now not everyone in the industry is bad but there are some bad apples. In fact, there's some truly wonderful people out there!

Hi, I have no copies, I HAVE ALL THE ORIGINAL material. Have all the DV tapes , the pictures and the ID data. Releases too.
I mailed him yesterday and he just said that I can do whatever I want.
Honestly, now I am getting mad at him. But none else to blame than
myself for not taking care of the procedures.
But yes, I have all the content with me.

Sorry, forgot to explained myself.
I used to upload the pictures and edited video to his server. That is why I have all those tapes and pictures and releases.
Do you think is a good idea tell him I will go to court there in Netherlands? I mean I cant afford that, but just thinking if he will listen to me and not speak to me like he did last email sent.

Thanks again guys, this is the best place to talk to others on the busness

Then your good to go :) The approval should be in writing and make sure that you retain that information for future references :)
