I placed a new banner to promote and drive traffic to a new blog I created "Gay Group Sex Porn".

no sense in doing that as a banner - if you do the same things as text, you'll pick up some search engine traffic looking for gay group sex porn.

btw, that banner makes it seem like its the name of the page it's on.

Why don't you put each one up for a week and see which one does better. Remember the goal isn't to get Bathhouse Blues to sell better (we've already established it isn't sell well) the goal is get the most traffic possible to your group sex blog.

In all honesty, I loaded the site - looked for a banner - came back to the forum - read to see if someone pointed out the banner - went back to the page and realized - ooh, That's not a super large header. It's got 4 banners.

Um - IT LOOKS LIKE A HUGE F'N HEADER!

I would assume most people overlook anything you put there that doesn't stand out as "I'm NOT part of the header"

and the text under each image makes me think you are talking about what is ON bathhouseblues, not a link to that type of content... or that it's even a link. Just one BIG header image.

For me, it is not blatant enough. Like Craig, I had to look several times before I could even find the banner to which you were referring. It is also a bit ambiguous, it looks like the header to what I am about to read, and yet asks me to click to go somewhere else. I think more self contained, more colourful and less like the header to the text below would improve its effectivness.

I think you've missed the point Basschick was making.

The text itself should be a link, not put a link under the text. Search engines take notice of text links with specific keywords.

To clarify point of view try AN ASIAN GAY MALE' S BLOG. I personally think it needs a make over. I see the title and think "these are stories about getting rejected at the bath house or how many times the guy got athletes foot in the shower". He has the 'blues'. But using an image and associated colors change the feel of blues to 'blue' in the sense of adult. Hell even see if bath house blue is available and redirect.

I own bathhouseblog.com and it is a PR4 without me doing any type of promotion of SEO on it. It just sits on the WWW with a blank page, and already it is a PR4.

Not sure what to do with it.
